We had a very pleasant overnight stay at Rossmount. Ruth and Robert were very welcoming and helpful, giving us recommendations for places to eat and short walks in the area. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast excellent. The guesthouse is in a good location, not far from the river and the town centre.

My original reservation was overbooked and I was pleasantly referred to the Rossmount. I only stayed only one night but the sheets were clean, the lodging quiet and the service was friendly and informative as to what to see and do. A great value. I hope to come back!

We stayed here for a couple of nights, and would definitely recommend Rossmount. We were arriving early in the morning (off the sleeper train), and they offer to look after out baggage during the day before we checked in, which was very kind! Our room was on the first floor at the front, and was very spacious, with a comfortable...

We stayed just the one night in a double room with ensuite on the ground floor. The room was clean and fresh and tastefully decorated. I loved the little touches like the sweet bowl and bathroom supplies (we appreciated the cotton buds!). The bed was super comfy and the heating adjustable (why does everywhere in scotland have the heating on...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Rossmount. The owners, Ruth and Robert Mckay, were very friendly, fun and helpful. Our room was very cosy. I loved the decor. Breakfast was great. They were very accomodating. The local was great as well, just a short walk into the center of the city. We would highly recommend. Nancy Hahne and...

We've stayed at nice B&B's in Scotland, but this was the best value so far. Very clean facility, comfortable beds, best breakfast so far, quiet residential street a short walk to city center, and nice hosts. I recommend this place.

Spent 4 nights B&B here and thoroughly enjoyed stay. Rooms very pleasant and comfortable, food excellent and good atmosphere. The house is well situated for shops and sightseeing although note that there is a short uphill climb to house on return. All in all a very good stay.

Admittedly thought £75 per night for a B&B a little steep for an adult and child but couldn't fault the Guest House at all. Particularly liked the additional touches; the bowl of sweets in the room, the Border biscuits, cotton wool buds and the friendly service unforgettable.
