We stayed the night before an earlyish flight, as it's only minutes from the airport. It's a beautiful old house, much chopped around by the inevitable fire doors etc but still retaining some character. Staff were very helpful and friendly and there's a well stocked whisky bar, but what was on offer was pretty basic. Dinner, booked in advance, was...

Dear Trevilley, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, I am delighted to read that you enjoyed the charm and character that the building generates. We are lucky to have such a great team, they make a difference which is what sets Culloden apart from its competition. I was a little surprised to read that the whisky...

What a stunning looking hotel, very old and beautifully restored and well kept. It's filled with lots of antiques and is really well presented. The rooms are well laid out. Mine had a lovely traditional bathroom, a Queen sized bed and a separate dressing room. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. I recommend sitting in the lounge with...

We stayed three nights in mid November on a short escape from London. We had booked a Superior room but upon arrival we found to our delight that we had been upgraded to a wonderful suite with king sized bed, large bathroom and everything that one could wish for. If the weather had been bad we could have happily stayed...

What a lovely, warm and welcoming hotel. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble! The room was really spacious and had a lovely view overlooking the front lawn. We had a light dinner in the bar which was perfect as we didn't want to dine formally in the restaurant, it was great to have the choice. I can't...

A friend and I traveled to Scotland in Mid October, a first for both of us. We arrived in Inverses after a few amazing days in Glasgow and Edinburgh (we really thought Scotland couldn't get any better) we drove up to Culloden House and had to take a moment to compose ourselves when seeing this historic masterpiece. It was a...

I found this looking for a place near Inverness. Fair rate for an amazing place. Comfortable, good wifi, good staff. I would love to have checked out nicer suites but not by myself. Very nice historic place, great breakfast, nice gardens - even in November.

My wife and I stayed here 5 nights. We arrived two days before our golf group joined us. That was a good decision. The hotel is extremely nice and very comfortable. Checkin was easy and staff took good care of my clubs. Our room was very comfortable with a nice bathroom and good internet service. The breakfasts in the morning...

The room is HUGE and warm, the bed sooo comfortable and the staff incredibly nice and attentive. The accommodation is such a nice change from the standard run of the mill hotel rooms I have experienced in the rest of the UK. Staying here is like staying with a wealthy branch of "old" family. The attention to detail is fabulous,...

Took a supplier to lunch here the other day as I have raved about the quality of food and service. As usual, it did not disappoint. I have no doubt this could easily be a 5* hotel as the friendly staff and quality of food far exceed their 4* status. Well worth a visit.

For the past 16 years I have wanted to stay here and finally had my chance. Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed here before the Battle of Culloden in 1746. Prices drop dramatically after the end of the tourist season, but the service remains amazing. I stayed for 3 nights in a double room. My rate included breakfast. The room was on...
