Sadly I was only in Inverness for two nights on business, so I didn't have much chance to explore (although I did get to Loch Ness). Craigiewood however was so relaxing despite being only ten minutes from town, not to mention the fox, pheasants and deer on the doorstep! Add in the gracious hostess, who insisted on getting up early...

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review - it does mean a great deal to me and I promise you that it was no hardship to give you early breakfast especially as it was only bacon and eggs. The next time you visit it will be the full Scottish! With my best wishes.

This was our second visit to the rural splendour of Craigiewood and the wonderful hospitality of the Dallmeyer family. As always, Tommy and his mother Minty looked after us like royalty. The accommodation was immaculate, the food was sensational and the location was perfect. The ideal tonic from the pressure of the daily grind. The house may be rural but...

Visited with friends, great location, both beautiful and with easy access to both the city of Inverness and some of the best golf courses you will find in the world, you couldn't ask for more. I would definitely recommend Craigiewood to anyone, it is fresh, clean and very well presented... not to mention the superb hospitality! Thanks, John.

Another great weekend of golf at Dornoch and Nairn was topped by our accommodation at Cragiewood. Having made this trip before, and having stayed with Araminta before, we knew we were in for a treat. Whilst my golf game fell to pieces on the first day at Dornoch, when we returned back to Cragiewood there was an enormous Lasagne warming...

We stayed two nights at the Craigiewood B and B and had a wonderful stay. Great breakfast and Minty was very accommodating to the dietary needs of our daughter, secured a dinner reservation for us and was really delightful. It's a lovely place to stay - away from the bustle of Inverness, very quiet and peaceful. And Bertie the cat...

Craigiewood. If you say it out loud you can hear the soft burr of the Scottish accent resonating. If you stay there you will forever remember the journey, wending your way down quiet single track country lanes, threading through rolling fields, tunneling through arching trees, beautiful vistas peeking through and wondering all the while where on earth you can be...

As returning guests this September we cannot praise Craigiewood too highly. Minty is a wonderful hostess, making one feel very at home and comfortable, as well as cooking delicious breakfasts and providing entertaining conversation to go with it. We love the Black Isle and this B & B is well situated to provide good eating out establishments and lots of...

Wonderful lady, wonderful home, wonderful hospitality! Why anyone would stay in a sterile 5 star hotel when there is an amazing gem like this available is beyond me, Minty goes out of her way to make you feel special, thank you so much for my treat, it really was appreciated.

Thank you so much for writing such an appreciative review. It was a pleasure to have you both to stay - twice! and a joy to have such well behaved dogs. We stayed at Craigiewood at the beginning of September 2015. This place is a little gem - so cute. Don't be put off by the isolation but I would suggest you arrive in daylight hours. Araminta (Minty) is very friendly and welcoming. She was very helpful with our onward travel plans. Breakfast was lovely with a wide selection of choices!

An extra added bonus was the additional sink in the room, it made getting ready easier, and the tub was also very long and comfy to soak in.
