Thank you to the Parkhill Guest House for saving our bacon. We had booked through Booking.com for another guest house for that night as I had an appointment at 9am and live over 100 miles away. My payment was taken and I had a confirmation of reservation. On route, I received a call from Booking.com stating there was a problem...

We had two nights in that house and as I had booked a twin room (two separated beds, which was my mistake during booking) the owners made it possible to change the room, which was very nice. So, the room we then had was clean, quiet and nice - there is nothing to complain about. The owners were very nice...

My friend and I stayed in this Guest House just recently. We got a very friendly and helpful welcome from a lovely couple as we arrived and they really couldn't do enough for us. Our room was spotless and the linen was very fresh and sparkling white! The beds were very comfortable too. Our full Scottish breakfast in the morning...

My friend & I booked an overnight stay at Parkhill as we were going to a concert & wanted somewhere central. This Guest House couldn't be more central. The owner was very helpful on the telephone & patient with my many questions via email. We were even able to drop off luggage early so we had the freedom to explore...

Convenient to City Center and Bus station. You should be prepared to use city stairways and/or walk the hills. Room was clean and comfortable, but overpriced for a single traveler in a double room. Proprietor was a little cranky and weary of 25 years as an innkeeper... (guests were treated as an inconvenience.) Request a box lunch if you can't...

The house is a traditional scottish B&B. Although we prefered a double bed room, we only got one with two single beds. The WiFi in our 2nd-floor room was very instable, so that we prefered the lounge or breakfast room to plan our day trips. The bathroom was small but sufficient. The host was very helpful with recommendations for dinner....
