My friend and I stayed here whilst doing some guided mountaineering in the area. It is the third or fourth time I've stayed and I've been just as happy as always. I expected the place to be busy but it was actually fairly quiet and we never struggled for space in the kitchen, lounge or bathroom. The twin room we...

Spent a few days at Calluna bunkhouse at the beginning of April to do some walking around the Ben. Was a fantastic base for outdoor activities...kit hire was very convenient and reasonable and the drying rooms did a great job especially considering that they were filled with kayak gear as well as our own kit. Rooms, kitchen, bathroom were all...

Arrived solo a couple of days in advance of a larger party. Very hospitable and comfortable place geared for outdoor enthusiasts. Allan seamlessly hooked me up with a great guide to do a ski mountaineering route on Carn Dearg exactly as requested. Then at the end of a stormy day on the mountain there is nothing better than putting your...

We really enjoyed our stay here, great location being a short walk to the main street in Fort William and cosy and warm after a day walking with a nice view from the living room. Great value for money!

Such a nice discovery in Fort William! It's true what some other people have said that -- it's not in the middle of Fort William, and it's not a buzzing social hostel. But it is an incredibly lovely place to stay if you don't mind about that. Great facilities, kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining room. Everything clean and in good...

Perfect for what we were after. Six lads arrived Friday evening, two rooms with four bunks and two bunks. Bags dropped, fifteen minute walk into town and a few beers later back to bed. Up early, breakfast at Morrisons and a walk up Ben Nevis. Back to accommodation, hot shower and out into town for a bite to eat, a...

The location isnt great - 20 mins walk downhill to town centre. The hostel is divided into three different buildings so it makes socializing with fellow travellers harder. The price is reasonable. The wifi is quite good d so r the facilities.

Thanks for your review. Many of our guests appreciate the view to the hills above Loch Linnhe, which is gained from the small and energetic walk uphill to our place. We do offer a lift from the transport centre for those who prefer to avoid the walk. Many guests mix with each other, either in the small outdoor area or...

Great location to stay in Fort William..Read the reviews in the trip advisor and it is really excellent as in the reviews. The location a bit of walking distance up the hill from the high street (about 20 min walk from bus/ train station?) but Alan is ready to pick you up if you arrive at the train/bus station.Alan and...

Comfortable, good value for money, in a great location. We shared one of the apartments with a friendly bunch of lads who were there to mountain bike, my brother and I were up for the hiking. One of the owners even picked us up from the station, and very kindly dropped us off there at the end of our stay....

I stayed for a weekend at Calluna. The accommodation was perfect and the Kimber family were very hospitable and friendly. I went for a walk up Ben Nevis the following day with Alan Kimber and learned how to use ice axes and crampons effectively. The scenery was amazing and it was great fun! I thoroughly recommend staying at Calluna and...
