Stayed 3 nights here, Denise, the lady who owns the hotel was lovely and was friendly and welcoming, and she cooks a very good breakfast. She runs the place alone, and its easy to see what the place used to be when it was in its heyday but now it is dated, although still very clean. There appears to be... More

We arrived after 10p.m due to delays on our train journey, so did not have time to explore Nairn. Fortunately the hotel was just a few minutes walk from the station. I contacted the hotel because we were arriving late, and we were met as soon as we got there. We were taken upstairs to a really large room with... More

I prepaid for a night's stay here, and did not qualify for a refund, so I think I should be able to share my thoughts on Waverly Hotel. It took a while to finally get someone's attention and was shown my room. After I saw it and then asked to see a different room (none others available) decided to turn... More

We got this hotel for a good price for two nights during a busy period. We weren't expecting much because of the price. The hotel is upstairs so isn't much to look at on the outside. Denise took us up to our room and I was very pleasantly surprised. It was big, very beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. I had... More

I had planned to stay in Inverness, but didn't pay as much attention to the location of this hotel when booking as I should have. It was kismet, though, that I got to stay here! First, anyone reading this should know that I was an American woman travelling alone on a research trip, and I had intended to stay in... More

On one of our many visits to Scotland, this hotel popped up with a family room available. Normally we use Premier Inn, but sadly they price themselves out of the market during summer, their loss, but our gain! The Waverley on first look does not appeal, but if you can see past that, you are in for a lovely time.... More

After a long drive through wind and snow I thought it would be polite to call ahead and let the waverley hotel know that we might not be there 1030pm. The woman on the phone told us to forget it and not bother showing up at all! I told her our situation, and also the fact that my wife is... More

Was needing somewhere to spend the night in Nairn & found The Waverley. Hotel was clean, room was good size & breakfast in morning was very good. All this for a very respectable price. Would stay here again quite happily.
