Detailed Reviews
Lovely stay at the Clydesdale Lodge.
We are returning customers and we've never had a bad stay. Great lodge and lovely hot tub. Just a perfect way to shut yourself off from the world for a couple of days.
Would recommend ordering from Little Li's Chinese in Plains

Home from home, with all the luxury you need. Bedroom with o suite bathroom and lounge. Beautifully decorated, clean and fresh. Great Breakfast!
Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, I have been to Lochinvar before and would seriously highly recommend this for a place to stay. Thank you!

What a lovely family! This is definitely home from home and would make an ideal base. We had two rooms which were large, bright and airy. Great power shower within en-suite and enormous bath within further bathroom. Lynda is extremely accommodating, she could not do enough for us - even putting an air hockey table within the room to occupy my boys during the stay! The property is spotlessly clean and breakfast was first class, fresh salmon, hams, breads, cereals, jams, then came a freshly prepared cooked breakfast - a large selection on offer and cooked to your specification - the haggis and black pudding were delicious!!!! Large secure parking, will definitely use again for both business and pleasure, a most enjoyable stay, julie and marc

My partner and I decided to stay here the night before our holiday as it looked like a great place to stay which also offered an airport run. It exceeded all expectations! Warm welcome on arrival, Lynda and Frank clearly go our their way to make guests have an enjoyable stay. Rooms were clean and the surroundings outside are fantastic suitable for adults and children to enjoy. Lynda cooked a lovely 3 course meal for us ( we felt like we were already on holiday!) I would recommend this lovely establishment to everyone!! we have already arranged to come back for a weekend away, Thank you once again Lynda and Frank

We stayed at lochinvar whilst visiting family. Linda and Frank made us feel very welcoming. The bedroom itself was top class standard, with a lovely big shower. It was lovely to have use of a nice sitting room as well. We will definitely be staying there regularly when we come to Scotland, and would highly recommend lochinvar to anyone.
Thank you for a wonderful stay Hannah and David Martin .

My wife and I will never forget the welcome we got from Lynda and Frank when we arrived for a night prior to flying from Edinburgh on our annual holiday, our car was in good hands, and safely parked in the spacious car park at their home which has security gates at the bottom of their drive. Also,we received a first class 3 course meal and relaxed in the guests lounge.very comfy surroundings and friendly family run guest house, spotlessly clean rooms,en suit, with fantastic view, and very hard working couple who can take you to either Glasgow or Edinburgh airport any time of the night,in little more than half an hour, and the same when you return from your holiday. We both strongly recommend this excellent accommadation,as it can be used for breaks to Glasgow or Edinburgh which is only 20 to 30 mins by train from a very close by rail station

Without doubt a spectacular B&B with extras. Evening meals are also available with only a few hours notice required.
We arrived far too early for check in due to our journey taking less time than estimated. This did not pose a problem as our host greeted us with a warm smile and an invitation to sit in the guest lounge whilst she made us a pot of tea and organised our room.
We had booked the log cabin for 2 nights and had not decided on dinner when we arrived. The very cosy and comfortable surroundings found us dozing off to sleep and we were left undisturbed to recover from our arduous journey.
We totally appreciated the unexpected extra touches that just continued throughout our stay.. (supper with a late night pot of tea, mini rolls in our room with a top up of tea and coffee sachets, a large cushioned chair put in our room to help my bad back, information printed on local attractions with directions to name a few, but to top all of the extras off was a solo performance on the bag pipes by Amy - 1 of Lynda's impeccably behaved children ) the chimnea and logs on our decked porch area with kindling and firelighters supplied was also a super touch. Absolutely nothing was any trouble for Lynda..When we woke after our snooze we realised we were well past the time requested to advise of dinner choice and reservation... not a problem for Lynda who immediately provided us with the menu. Dinner, like breakfast was delicious. Perfectly cooked veg, a hearty portion of everything and all round great home cooking. The breakfast choice was the largest we have found and again it was cooked to perfection, hot and bang on time, the continental selections we're also more than adequate, presented beautifully and looked so appetising due to it being freshly prepared including the home made bread.
The surroundings are picturesque with horses to watch being ridden, geese grazing on the lawns and chickens pecking through whatever they could find. Highland cattle and even a donkey we're also part of Lynda's family. If you're not animal mad don't let this put you off, not one of the animals are intrusive and the poultry lives free range but in controlled areas.
The log cabin was so comfortable we didn't want to leave. The bed was fabulous, storage space more than ample and equipment to use should you wish to self cater. Every area was spotlessly clean and we even saw the curtain rails, window furniture and locking mechanisms of the window in another roomt being cleaned!
Gorgeous smelling toiletries with plump soft towels in the bathroom were provided and replenished daily and the shower was hot and powerful.
Such value for money with warm hospitality exceeded our expectations after staying in other B&B in Airdree, there is simply no comparison.
We will highly recommend and definitely find a reason to visit again.
Thanks to Lynda,Hannah, Amy, Rebecca & Robbie for making our stay so perfect.

We stayed here en-route home from the Highlands for two nights, we picked Lochinvar as they make dogs welcome. The property is set back from the road and is not immediately obvious, but this hidden gem is the nicest guest house I have stayed in. We received a warm welcome and were shown to a spotlessly clean family room, the beds were exceptionally comfortable and the room contained everything needed for a comfortable stay. Lynda's breakfasts are excellent with a superb choice, her homemade bread is delicious and makes you just want to go back for more. We had a three course dinner on the second night and regretted not having had one the night before as it was so good. Our dog loved his stay and made himself instantly at home, he was made very welcome. I would happily stay here again - hopefully for longer next time - and recommend Lochinvar Guest House to anybody looking for accommodation in this area.

Lochinvar is a family run guest house located in Central Scotland. Very close to both the M8 & M9 motorways and a 5 minute drive from Caldercruix Train Station where you can catch the train to both Edinburgh & Glasgow.
Double room with ensuite has a great view of the countryside while the family room has two windows overlooking the back of the property onto Stepends Woodland.
Both rooms are fully equipped with everything you could possible need for your stay and breakfast is served in the lounge with a fantastic choice to choose from.
Highly recommended!
