Ashtree House Hotel is a wee jewel in the middle of a busy city. An old building with large bedrooms retaining the original features but with up to date plush furnishings and modern en-suites. It's lovely. I've stayed twice and will ensure I book every time I stay in Paisley. I've had two different rooms and both have been perfect.

The property itself is about 200 years old, so it's to be expected that it would show some signs of age, but the general condition of the walls, ceilings, and windows in the bedroom area is poor. The ceiling in both the bath and the bedroom was peeling, apparently from water damage. The window frames need to be stripped and...

Ashtree House Hotel is situated just off the main street via a somewhat confusing one way system (even with a sat nav!); but it is a delight to the eyes when you arrive. We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome from our host and the premier double room we had booked was lovely, with views over the front garden...

Spacious and elegantly furnished, this beautiful house is a very comfortable treat, situated just off the main street. It's like stepping back in time but with 21st Century standards and a warm welcome from the friendly staff. Wonderful!

I stayed here recently while on a business trip, and could not have been made feel more at home. Got a lovely bedroom on the first floor, with a great big window. A special mention to Maureen, who was most welcoming. A lovely home with great character. Breakfast was also very good. Location is excellent with great proximity to the...

What a charming hotel. It is very old, small and quaint but with modern comforts. Each room is different. Our son had a great room up in the attic. The bathroom was modern and very functional. Staff were lovely and made you feel welcome at all times. The full Scottish breakfast is a must. Will return when visiting family in...

The food was very good although the soft drinks range a little limited. Would definitely return for food but not for the rooms as there was more than a little unfinished work to be done in the two rooms I saw.... and a lingering smell of smoke in the stairs area near the missing concrete window seat. At first the...

Had to find accommodation in paisley due to family emergency and found this lovely hotel. A lot of work has been done and they are still working on it so you do notice little bits and pieces of unfinished work but it doesn't interfere with your stay. The staff are wonderful and attentive and the rooms are clean and tidy....

From the reviews I thought this was a hotel which required a little modern updating not one that I would choose not to stay in. However, the food was very good. Holes in ceiling badly flaking paint and/or ceiling in more than 6 places.... and this was the first room I saw ....colleagues also has similar rooms but chose not...
