We booked out By The Sea for a wedding near Ayr, with over-flow staying at Craggallan. Excellent and friendly welcome, very accommodating of us. The lounge by the kitchen was a useful touch, with wine glasses & a chiller fridge. Wide range of options at breakfast, with free-range eggs, locally sourced produce and fresh strawberries and blueberries. Rooms all comfortable...

Thank you for taking the time to review Bythesea positively. We pride ourselves in providing comfortable accommodation at a competitive price and enjoy having large groups stay so they can relax in the lounge together. It was lovely to meet all of your party and of course the bride and groom. Regards Julie

Good B and B with nice spacious room and bathroom with good quality toiletries . Slight negative was that carpet needed a Hoover. I believe this was due to carpets being fitted in other rooms with furniture temporarily being stored in others. Anyway not a big problem and everywhere else was very clean. Re the title of the review...the guesthouse...

Thank you for taking the time to review our guest house. Constructive critisim is always welcome as it helps us understand what we need to do to improve our service. We stayed at sister guest house Craggallan which is located 4 doors away but we used By the Sea for breakfast. The guest house is very clean, modern and welcoming. The owners were lovely and made our stay very pleasant. The extra little touches made the guest house very unique and more personably than a brand chain hotel. The food...

After a long 7hr journey battling through Storm Desmond we arrived in a very wet Ayr. Was left waiting in the hallway while the owner tried to find our booking even though we had rang to book 4 or 5 wks before but eventually given Room 3 keys. Would of been nice to have been offered a coffee or at...

Stayed here for 3 nights. The room was very clean and comfortable. Must give a massive shout out to the hand wash, shower gel that was in my room. Citrus Shores by Arran Aromatics. It made me wash my hands all the time and even when I was out and about I could still smell the aroma. That is certainly...
