I regularly have to travel from Yorkshire to Kintyre and find Ayr the ideal half-way house. But far more ideal is No 26 The Crescent where Joyce and Michael always have a warm welcome for their guests. The rooms are comfortable with tasteful furniture and, above all, warm. The breakfast is freshly cooked and delicious. The lavish praise in the...

I stayed here whilst attending a wedding in a nearby hotel. Arrived mid afternoon to be greeted by Michael, Landlord extraordinaire! Such a friendly guy. As we were pressed for time as usual, Michal quickly checked us in, ran through our breakfast requirements and escorted us to our room, carrying our bag all the way to the top floor. Our...

Stayed for one night last weekend and couldn't fault it. Michael and Joyce are lovely hosts, and treated me like a friend from the moment I arrived. The room was great/spotless, also included internet access, which was very handy for work, and breakfast was spot on. Strongly recommend, and will definitely aim to stay here again when I next visit...
