This was my second time attending a wedding at Brig O' Doon and it has been fabulous on both occasions. It is a beautiful venue in a picturesque location. The staff were fantastic and by comparison to other wedding venues I have been to the food was particularly good. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone for their... More

Have visited many times over the years. Like the location and the ambience. Sometimes pop here for lunch at the bistro and at other times dinner in the main area. Would consider getting married here as they do weddings so well and the pictures on the old Bridge look stunning.

Location beside the bridges old and new over the Doon,is great and proximity to Burns Museum and Cottage is excellent. Parking is challenging! Rooms very comforatable and of generous size. Staff were very friendly and food was good...not excellent but good!

My son got married there. No complaints whatsoever about the service or food which was 1st class. At the end of the speeches when standing to do a toast my chair broke and I ended up a pile on the floor. The staff very quickly removed the chair and put a wet floor sign up. I don't know why because... More

Attended friends wedding on 1st September The venue looks like a quaint little cottage for outside but looks are deceiving. Inside their is a cosy reception area where you can sit next to a cosy fire. Down a few steps and you enter their restaurant and lounge area which has a small decked pathway that gives views to the stunning... More

My wife and I have visited Brig o doon several times in the past, mainly wedding functions. On this occasion we had the pleasure to return to room 1 of the hotel for dinner, bed and breakfast. The weather in Ayr was fabulous, especially for September. We sat with drinks in the extremely well kept gardens overlooking the brig. The... More

We visited the hotel for lunch after exploring all the Burns attractions. We were a party if eight who arrived just as a wedding was starting but nevertheless we were made very welcome. Lunch was delicious in particular the Cullen Skink. All members of our group enjoyed their lunch. We will return again in the future and would recommend it... More

We stayed in the detached house,Doonbrae which is part of the Brigadoon hotel. We have been to the hotel on numerous times for family meals and cannot fault the main hotel. This time we were guests of a family wedding. The wedding itself is not the issue, its the Doonbrae arrangement that we had fault with. The building is a... More
