The hotel was poor in general. We paid a lot of money to stay here for four nights, even paid for an upgraded room... if that’s the better room I’d hate to see what a standard room looked like. The experience was negative from the start, the lift wasn’t working so we had to use the service lift as we had a baby with a pram, it was unsafe and constantly blocked with boxes and for 3 days it had bunk beds blocking it, forcing us to try and lift our buggy over it. We repeatedly asked for the beds to be removed, they took one part out and blocked a fire door with it. At one point I tried to reverse the buggy around the obstacles and hit my back off the leg of the bed that was sticking out. I reported this to reception and they said it would be removed immediately... the beds were still there when we were checking out. The room itself was depressing, it was very hot and they had the windows open to try and cool it down, which let in the loud motorway traffic that was on the other side of the trees. The windows couldn’t be closed as it was far too hot so we had to listen to the constant sound of motorway traffic which made it hard for our baby to sleep. There was no aircon in the room, only a fan blowing warm air around the room. We asked for a fridge for the room as we needed to refrigerate medicine to stop it expiring, this took hours. We went to make coffee in the Nespresso machine, there were no pods so we called on several occasions requesting pods, however they were never provided. When I asked a cleaning staff member for some, they said they were out of stock and might be getting them in on the day we’re checking out. On the first day we had food in the hotel, the food and the service was terrible. It appears that the hotel has a lot of student staff working that may not have been properly trained. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks to be served, 10 of those minutes one of our drinks sat on the bar counter and I repeatedly requested that it would be served to us, only to be told that they were waiting on the second drink, a pint of beer, meanwhile the strawberry daiquiri melted and tasted awful when it arrived. It was not an issue of too little staff, in fact, there were 3 behind the bar and 4 on the floor chatting to eachother, and there only appeared to be 3 other tables of customers. On the first night we tried to dial for room service, but no one would answer the phone. After 15 minutes of trying to call, and about 15 times of being disconnected or it ringing out, my husband went to reception and asked them could we order room service. The person on reception said we couldn’t do it through reception, we had to call from our room. He explained that no one was answering and he said I’ll answer when you call. 3 more attempts later and our call was answered and we were transferred to the restaurant. We ordered a margarita and 2 beers... 30 minutes later the pizza arrived cold and the beers warm. Breakfast was quite possibly the worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. There were limited options and I tried 4 different options only to be disappointed every time. Service was hit and miss each day, and one day I ended up just having coffee and toast because the meal that was brought out was inedible. I’m really surprised that the hotel has 4 star status, and such a high rating on booking.com... it fooled us into booking what was quite possibly the worst hotel experience at an expensive price of €977 for 4 nights. I’m also surprised at the substandard quality given it is a Radisson hotel, I’ve always enjoyed my stays in Radisson hotels in the past and was hoping to have the same standards here. Very disappointed.

Myself and my family decided to call in to the Radisson for food and drinks last week since it had been over a year since we last visited. We were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our table straight away. We had a lovely waiter named Taylor who made sure everything was perfect & that we were as happy as possible, the kids loved interacting with her also. The food was exceptional, even though I thought it was a little pricey it was definitely worth it all in the end! We tried a few of the cocktails and they were also very refreshing, especially in this weather! We will definitely be returning soon and I’ll continue recommending to friends & family!!

After the first day the nearest passenger lift was left off despite it been working when the lift maintenance provider was on site earlier that day. We received a letter to our room to say the left was off due to an electrical part issue and redirected us to a back of house staff lift in a linen closet. The letter also stated that the lift would be off for what transpired to be the whole week we were there. It seems hard to believe that it can take a week to get a part for a lift in this day and age.

Staff were very friendly. Severly understaffed when checking in this led to a long wait before getting to the counter and a even longer wait once checked in as there were issues with the computer. Booked my stay over the phone with a memeber of staff she quoted the wrong price for the room, the man at check in gave the room for the price I was quoted when booking it . . Not much details regarding breakfast when checking in, wasn't told either which floor my room was on or which lift to use to go to the rooms. Rooms were clean and spaceous found the little fan in the wardrobe good as rooms we're quiet warm. Overall really enjoyed the time spent there after checking in.

Stayed here last night with my mam and 2 children. Arrived at 3pm which was our check in time. We waiting in the queue to check in for 25 mins to be told our room was not ready and would be ready in 20 minutes. We were told we could go to the bar and wait which we did. Manager in the bar was rude, another girl made a reservation for us but it had to be inside as outside was full. (It was not but we assumed people were arriving at those tables shortly afterwards) ordered food and drinks the food was ok, nothing special but edible) we paid out bill went back to reception (1hour later) to be told it would be another 20minutes, My mam then asked could we sit outside and order a drink which was no issue this time which was strange considering we were told outside was booked up only an hour before. My ordered drinks which took 20 minutes also. The children were getting fed up at this point and were back and forth to the playground. I went back up at 5pm to reception to be told yet again it would be 20 minutes. At this point I expressed how unacceptable this was. 20 minutes later I went back up again to be told it was still not ready. The lady at reception asked did we want to go to the bar to have a drink, I told her we had already got dinner, and 3 drinks at the bar at this stage. She offered the children an ice cream. At 5.50 she came out to tell us our room was ready. Eventually we got to our room at 6pm. We had to cancel our dinner plans in cork City. This morning we went for breakfast which we had book for 10am. We were seated at 10.30. I didn't catch the lady's name who served us (she was so lovely and an asset to the hotel) To be fair the staff were good, however constantly apologising to not only us but to others whos rooms were also not ready. All in all we paid 304e for one night stay for a family of 4 for a 12 hour stay. We spent 160 at the bar (which we would have spent in Cork City) seemed like a smart move from the hotel to get another 160 from us. I just feel disappointed that they think it is OK to leave people waiting over 3hours to get into a room they paid 304e for. I don't know if this what we have to accept with the current situation with covid? We felt it was unacceptable but also felt the attitude was be greatful you got to book a room and be grateful for what you get all be it overpriced, not of good quality and plenty of apologies , oh and a free ice cream.
