We stayed for a spa night in July. We had lunch on arrival, then our spa treatments followed by dinner! Every part was just pure bliss and the staff were just fantastic. Going to have a staycation for our honeymoon next year and seriously thinking about coming back here for it!

Very disappointing. Overpaid for what we got. This is my first time writing a review and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. My wife had stay here in the past with friend for a midweek spa break and always raved about it. So I booked it for our wedding anniversary. 2 nights B&B and 1 dinner. Breakfast my poached eggs were cold. We arrived for dinner which I had booked for 7pm the day I made the reservation to be told our reservation had been for 6pm but we were shown to our table. Food was poor quality for what you are paying and then an extra supplement for a dessert. On our second night the guest next door banged the door for over an hour while screaming up the corridor to his friend in another room because they were fighting with their girlfriends. Tried to phone reception at 12.15 as just couldn't take anymore and couldn't get to sleep because of all the noise and guess what, no answer. Also to be charging 20 ero per person to use the pool and steam room is an absolute disgrace. Overall experience was terrible and I would not recommend your hotel to anyone. The only thing good about the experience were the staff and location.

I paid €400 for a “Deluxe” King Room. For 2 nights. There was nothing “deluxe” at all about our room. We travelled 4 hours to Cork from Louth. We had been very excited about our trip and the hotel we were staying at. When we checked in we were told a “fabulous” room was awaiting us. To my HUGE disappointment it was anything BUT fabulous. The bathroom was TINY. There was not even a small fridge to keep water cold. The only thing we had was a huge bed. A couple of chairs and a table. I had read that we would have robes and slippers, we only had slippers. The staff didn’t seem to work much, they were having a big gossip at the end of our hallway when we returned from being in the city, also in my room I had a bottle of Prosecco chilling in a wine cooler we had taken up with us from our dinner in the restaurant the night before, it had been thrown out. I went and asked the staff that were chatting, they didn’t seem to care much about it. Typical young people who don’t care about customer service. They didn’t even replace the toilet roll. Due to our long journey and how exhausted we were I rang down to reception looking for another night stay, the receptionist didn’t seem to care much. She just told me there was nothing she could offer me as they hotel was booked out. However we hadn’t met a single other person in our hallway or in the elevator the entire time we were there. She just didn’t seem to care. I was so so so disappointed by all of this. Especially the poor excuse for a “deluxe” room. The journey was far too long! We will not be returning to this hotel for our next stay. I’ve written this a few times now, seems to keep erasing. Incase you’ve seen this more than once. Location was good and so was the restaurant, only good things I can say. Otherwise stay away from this hotel.
