We had a grand time but it was not a great time. The hotel was very Noisey at night. It was a Saturday so some noise is expected but there was no air com and it was so very hot on the 4th floor we had to keep the window open. For the premium price we paid we expected more...

I remember staying at the Imperial in 2005 and loved it. I came back ten years later and was delighted to see the same standards upheld. Check-in was swift and friendly ,my stay was quiet and convenient (with it's perfect location in the city) and staff were lovely. Cannot fault this hotel ,it has charm and character

Got a three night 'experience' package, which seemed like good value when you see what's listed on it (some of which is very deceiving). The hotel itself is well located within the city which is good, and the car park is a five minute walk away, which wasn't really ideal for us as we took day trips every day. The...

As can be seen from my other reviews I have been doing a 9 day driving tour of Ireland, and the imperial has been the worst of all the hotels/guest houses we stayed in. First although well placed for Cork City on arrival we unloaded our cases and were ignored by the three door staff until we got to the...

Concierge does not rely exist and certainly do not offer assistance with luggage. Check in was not great. Hotel car park that is changeable is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Room was like an oven no fresh air. Bathroom although an attempt at refurbishment had been made. It was dirty and was tiny. Really tiny. Every time...

My recent overnight in the Imperial was excellent. I'm a repeat visitor to Cork and always stay in the Imperial. Nice room, good bed, lovely staff, good food and so central. This hotel is full of character and charm not to mention history.

Dealt with a very helpful girl in reception, Lauren I think her name was. The room we initially were put in was very cramped and small but Lauren was very accommodating and showed us another room, which was much more spacious. I would definitely recommend getting a superior room. The bar was beautiful also. We got our breakfast delivered to...

Location, Location, Location! Close to English Market, Hop on Hop off bus, shopping, pubs with live music! Visit Elbow Lane for dinner, only 24 seats but worth waiting for! Comfortable beds, average room size, very small bathroom, comode difficult for larger guests (us), floors were tilted part of the old age charm, lovely bistro, good breakfast although over priced, bar...

Looking at the Booking.com and TripAdvisor reviews, it seemed like this hotel would be a great addition to our stay in Ireland (particularly while we explored Cork). Unfortunately, this hotel was one of the lowlights of our trip. It is clear that any care put into the upkeep of this hotel as of late was put toward the upkeep of...
