Stayed for five days last week (weds-sun) with colleagues and returning for the next three weekends. Our work has us in digs often and we were extremely impressed by this hostel. The rooms are clean, warm, and well maintained. The communal areas are comfortable and inviting, and there are many small touches such as plants and flowers around the place...

Always stay in the Kinlay House when in Cork to watch Rovers v Cork in Turners Cross, must have stayed here at least 6/7 times. Usually 4 of us, the location is perfect and price even better, only 5-10min walk from the train & bus stations! We always book a 4 bed private dorm, always clean and beds are comfortable,...

This hotel was good value for what I paid. Stayed during a solo trip across Ireland in a single room. Very quiet and relaxing. Clean. Helpful staff. Would recommend to others. I was there a total of 2 nights. Be advised though there is a huge hill to walk up to get to the hotel from the river. Could be...

Stayed for 5 nights in October 2016. Private room, double bed, shared toilet. Good 1. Simple breakfast included 2. Discounts for Paddywagon's Tours 3. 24 hour reception Not so good 1. Far from the train station. Although there is a bus stop outside the hostel, no viable bus to take one from / to the train station. 2. Steps and...

I liked this hostel. It was pretty quiet and mellow which was refreshing compared to how bustling the others I've visited were. They didn't have any security lockers in the room which was a bummer, so we carried out stuff with us wherever we went (though the hostel does seem secure enough that no one would take your things). Free...

I stayed for 2 nights in a twin room (bathroom outside). It was big, it had a washbasin and chair and a closet. Pretty comfortable for organizing your luggage. The breakfast is basic and you have to make it. The showers are really powerful and we had a good laugh with my friend about it. Don't try to NOT wash...

Disclaimer that this was my first hostel experience so I'm not particularly well-versed in what constitutes a good or bad hostel. That being said I thought it was comfortable for one night. Pillows were a bit sad but we had a private 4 bed (2 bunk) room. Sink in the bedroom was very convenient and bathroom across the hall was...

Ok ill start with the good points, there aint many- friendly staff, very close to city centre. Bad points- room stinked, filthy sheets, bring your own pillow! The pillows there might as well have been tea bags. Minimal kitchen utensils. Over all the place needed a good clean. Wont be returning.

We checked in for two nights. The positive things: cheap prices, friendly staff, private rooms available, easy to find and within walking distance, enough space in the rooms. Negative aspects: mould in the bedroom and the bathroom, shower fixed in a makeshift manner, no chairs to sit on, clean but not appealing furniture, Wifi did not work properly, strange smell,...
