The staff was exceptionally friendly. Seriously, just strike up a conversation with them, they are very laid back. The location is also in the centre and close to everything, so the location is excellent. The internet was also fast. For the rest I thought the accommodation was too expensive for its value. Nobody cleaned the room in six days and...

Though a little basic the rooms were warm and clean, staff were friendly and beds were comfortable. Don't come here if you're expecting 5* accommodation and all the frills. It's location was really close to the main district and loads of brilliant pubs and restaurants. As a place just to lay your head it was just what we needed

Kinlay House is a little hard to find, but once you find it, you wont be disappointed. Its a tad out of the way from city centre, but in a way it is one of its perks. I stayed in room 306 which was clean, spacious and had a great view of the city. Staff was very helpful and offered...

I got my dates completely mixed up and thought I was staying an extra night than I was, so then received an extremely rude phone call from Andy. I have honestly never been spoken to so harshly from someone in "customer service" before, especially not over an honest mix up! When I came to pick up my stuff, Andy again...

Problem with the water system... Barely cleaned.. And in the middle of the night another customer got in the room as they did gave him our room keys, then the nightmanager came to see if I was supposed to be there!!! That didn't even approach a simple sleep over.....

Basically, the building is old, and no works done since years probably. Kitchen is nice, even if the pans and pots look so dead. Take care to not leave anything in there (speaking about food). Many people had their stuff stolen (meat, frozen veggies...). Someone even stole us an eggplant... Tv room is nice, when those people aren't playing Fifa...

Stayed in this hostel for 4 nights, private bedroom, shared bathroom. Pro's: - clean bedrooms - friendly staff - close to the centre of Cork - free breakfast Cons: - terrible showers. the water constantly changes from freezing cold to extremely hot, some showers did not have lockers. I had to push the shower button every 3 seconds to keep...

I had booked this hostel for three nights, but didn't even end up staying the one. Firstly, their kitchen was cramped and there was barely enough space in the fridge when I got there. Secondly, the dorm room I was in had mould and water stains on the ceiling. I asked for a different dorm, but that one, too, had...

Room itself was very average, but relatively clean. As were the shared bathroom facilities, although there was no way to lock the shower door. The "included breakfast" only consisted of tea and toast. Given the price we paid, I don't think it's great value. It wasn't horrible, but I've stayed in much nicer hostels elsewhere.

This is an average hostel. It is in a nice location and the rooms are nice but I've stayed in nicer hostels. Overall this is an average hostel. I wish we had a private bathroom because the showers were a little dirty and one of the doors was extremely difficult to close. Our window also came off the hinges. This...
