I recently had reserved an area in the Bar for a group. I was very happy with the service provided: The barman took a group order for drinks and delivered to the tables, I had ordered party food which was served on time by a very friendly staff member. I was very happy with the good service and value. Music...

When we arrived at the hotel we went to the front desk where the receptionist was very abrupt when she asked for my passport and snatched the guest form back from my husband before he had time to fill it in. She gave us our documents back and told us what time breakfast would be and started to serve the...

Although the hotel is in a central Dublin 2 location (right beside Trinity College) and the staff were friendly, the outside noise all night prevented me getting any sleep. I even had good ear plugs in - but because the windows are old fashioned single plane sliding windows, they let every closed, Also no temperature controls and no breakfast before...

Terrible. Rude staff, dirty room with mold in the bathroom, and ear plugs are provided due to the three night clubs situated directly below the hotel. If you plan on sleeping or eating a nice meal, this is not the hotel to stay at. If you're in your early 20's looking to party then this is your spot.

Arrived here on Saturday night around 8 to watch the rugby with friends. Pints. Had two Heineken. Both times I had to bring them back to have a head put on them. Left second pint as I noticed the glass was dirty. Till reciepts littered all over the bar counter. Empty glasses on tables and shelfs from previous customers not...

We stayed at the Mercantile for one night at the end of a stay in Dublin and were pleasantly surprised. It is in a fab location, right next to Temple Bar and all the nightlife and has its own great pub downstairs which is well worth a visit. We booked late, but it was great value for money and we...

Great hotel in a great location. Just booked again for 2 nights in December. Our room 308 was enormous and really comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and in a beautiful setting. If people don't want any noise in the evening, don't book a hotel in the centre of town!

I booked for a large party although in the end a number backed out. The hotel dealt with this excellently. It is a clean, tidy traditional hotel. It is in the middle of a busy area and it does have a pub/restaurant on the ground floor. Other reviewers have criticised the noise but it is what it is; if you...
