Great hotel in a great location. Just booked again for 2 nights in December. Our room 308 was enormous and really comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and in a beautiful setting. If people don't want any noise in the evening, don't book a hotel in the centre of town!

I booked for a large party although in the end a number backed out. The hotel dealt with this excellently. It is a clean, tidy traditional hotel. It is in the middle of a busy area and it does have a pub/restaurant on the ground floor. Other reviewers have criticised the noise but it is what it is; if you...

The hotel is located right down from the Temple Bar area easy walk to Guinness and Jameson. The hotel boasts a VERY busy bar that is open till 4 in the morning. Which unless you are on a Stag or Hen is a huge negative. If you stay here prepare for a rowdy drunk group at your bedroom window until...

Had a wonderful time at the mercantile hotel. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful to us. We traveled with a wheelchair and made sure ahead of time that they could accommodate. They did everything they could to help us. Including letting us check in at 8am when our flight arrived because they happened to have a room opened. They...

This hotel is near the beating heart of Dublin, near the cultural, food, drink and gay venues, and it's a great base for walking to other spots from/ I could easily have walked to any of the theatrees with great plays on, and there was an astounding choice of places to feed myself. The hotel itself, has at least six...

Hotel is in an amazing location, right in the centre of Dublin, walking distance to everything you need; Temple Bar at your doorstep. The receptionist was not a happy woman, but she got the job done, no friendly banter or even a smile; the receptionist at check out was slightly better. We booked on very short notice so were in...

Review of the Hotel only not restaurant or bar Stayed for one night in July 2015. Hotel room is generally dated and mattress in particular was tired and springy. However the room was clean and of a decent standard Staff generally pleasant but check-in was not particularly efficient

It's hard to let me down totally, I've stayed in a lot of hotels in Dublin but this place succeeded. The noise from the street is constant it never ends, the ear plugs provided will do nothing, and I was hammered when I got back in the room... God help a sober person. At 100e`s a night and more this...

The room itself wasn't so bad, but the noise made by drunks in the street was indecent. The women at the reception, "Teresa" in particular ( the blonde ), were rude... they never hail people. The bar service was too much expensive.
