The staff were very helpful and informative and the rooms were clean. The bathrooms were not as great as I would have hoped and the breakfast was very basic. It was a bit of a trek to the lockers but they were secure.

The location was convenient and central to most of what we wanted to do. The staff was extremely kind and helpful when we needed directions and bus times which makes all the difference when you don't know the area. The hostel also provides a nice breakfast with options of various cereals, toast, and coffee. The bathrooms were clean, but for...

We (2 people) had a Private Double with Ensuite Bathroom. The room was very small (as expected) - just the bed, a tiny desk and a corridor to reach it with absolutely no space to put your stuff except on the desk. The private bathroom was very mouldy. Didn't dare to use the shower. There was a fire exit door...

I have stayed in hostels throughout my teens and 20's. Now that I'm in my late 20's, I just don't think they are for me any more. Especially hostels like the Kinlay House. It was kind of shocking to see how many older people were at this hostel considering the teen party atmosphere of it. There was crappy techno music...

The good- this hostel is reasonably priced. There is a good kitchen, and decent free breakfast. There is free wifi. It is walking distance from nearly everything in Dublin. And it is fairly quiet for a hostel located in the rowdiest party neighborhood in Ireland. The staff is very good at recommending free or discounted things to do in Dublin. The...

If location is everything than this hostel wins. Right at Temple Bar close to the historical sites, restaurants, pubs, shops and theaters. As far as comfort don't have great expectatins. Rooms are spread on 3 floors and out houses and bathrooms are not always close by. I would recommend to book the ensuite dormatory. Also not having lockers in the...

Well organized shared rooms (even if I would add ham and cheese) and good location in the very centre of the city, near Tempel Bar. Bad bathrooms and the locker costs unjustly too much (10 € even for very few hours!). The staff was not as kind to me as in other hostels I have been in.

We stayed in Kinlay House 2 nights at the end of August. The stuff is really friendly. The double bed room was small but enough for the price. The location of the hostel is great. You can reach the Temple Bar, other pubs and the train station in a few minutes. Next time in Dublin we will stay here again.

Close to city centre and Temple Bar. Cool paintings and art! Helpful staff and clean rooms and bathrooms. Would definitely stay again. Good safe storage lockers too. Didn't make it up in time for breakfast but there were lots of travellers cooking in the kitchen. Nice laid back feel about the place.
