They changed our double bedroom to an apartment due to heater malfunctioning. The apartment was:

My room was quite big and very clean. It had a nice bathroom. It was a bit cold though, and I couldn't find an extra blanket.

According to my GoogleMaps it says it is about 31 minutes walk. I would suggest you take a taxi especially if you don't know your way in the city that well. As with regards to walking, it is generally safe here in Dublin to walk. However, as with any European city it is always good to look out for yourself. To me, I consider it safer than any other European city I've been to, but the more North you get the less safe it gets.
