Called into bar for dinner on a Saturday night. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced Hotel seemed a bit dated but I think it added to the charm, a certain sense of nostalgia reminding me of hotels I used in the eighties. Pleasant helpful staff. Would certainly make the detour from the main road to call in next time...

Thanks for that nice review. Our food is getting very good reviews and we are glad you enjoyed it and the charm of the recently renovated Maples House, which we agree retains it's old world atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

We stayed here for a week as we had things to do throughout the city, over the whole week the hotel and staff were really accommodating. We were given early check-in as we'd been travelling since the early hours and our room was ready, we didn't have a tv remote and someone brought us one up straight away, the beds...

The staff here were helpful and really doing their best but we noted there was a transition to new management and it felt that corners were being cut. Our double room was really a single with a bed rammed up against the wall and not much room to move even on the one side for getting out of bed. The...

Dear penelopesmyth, Thank you for your email. Ownership of the hotel changed almost 2 years ago and there has been substantial investment made in our facilities since then. The most recent investment, completed last week, was in our IT systems. Our guests do not normally experience difficulty with the wifi but we are grateful that you told us about your...

I loved this place. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, well appointed room and a shower that will really waken you up. Blasted away the cobwebs it did. The staff were friendly, even the night guy who had to let me in at an ungodly hour. If your staying here and your coming on by your own method of transport, be careful....

I had my wedding in this hotel. It was inexpensive for the service we got. The owner/manager looked after our every need. The room was laid out beautifully. Fresh linen sparkling light fittings. It is a small room but holds 60 people comfortably. This ensured a very cosy post meal party. The meal and the service was top class. Every...

The guest house is easy to reach from the airport with bus lines 40 or 16 (Drumcondra station) and from there several bus lines or the train will bring you to the centre. The staff was extremely friendly. When I arrived on a Monday afternoon, the guy from the reception gave me a very nice welcome. I am quite sure...

This is a good hotel. The staff very friendly and helpful. It is decently close to the attractions and the city centre. The beds were comfy but rooms weren't massive not that that bothers me. I would recommend it to anyone visiting for a few days. If i were to visit again i would stay here.

We've stayed for a weekend in a triple room. Few things about the hotel: Staff - very welcoming and helpful; Room - our room was veeery tiny, beds were comfy but just too short in lenght. Rooms are cleaned daily as normal. Bathroom is very tiny as well - cold floor and the shower need some maintenance. Bar is nice...
