The host is lovely but let down by the guest house itself. It is very very basic and falling apart. The bed is very uncomfortable and very glad that we only stayed for a weekend. The shower facilities are poor (well in our room anyway). Close transport links to the city centre just not a very nice place to sleep.

My wife and I spent 4 nights in Abrae Court September 2016. Abrae Court is situated in Rathgar, a rather eclectic neighborhood of south Dublin. The property was once the home of one of the first Jewish families in Dublin. The property is a bit aged but is well-kept. A minor disadvantage is the 15-20 steps from street level to... More

Nina was extremely pleasant and accommodating however the facilities were just horrible. We had a 3 bedroom and it was such a tight squeeze that all 3 of us could not unpack at the same time. The bathroom was TINY. We were so repulsed by the accommodations that we had t check out early and move to a different place.

Stayed here to be close to Marlay Park - was still a good hours walk away. Lovely area to stay in - room was great value, very quiet and peaceful. Service was pleasant, place was well looked after. For the money we paid you can't go far wrong!

The staff seemed flustered when we checked in. We called a few hours previously to let them know that we were arriving, yet we still had to wait for two hours before our room was ready (all the while our car was locked up in the car park). When we were told the room was ready, we came to realise... More

Abrae Court is a warm and comfy spot located in a safe area. It's not in the center of town, but we had a car and also did the 45 min walk, which was not too bad. The rooms are lovely and quaint and the staff is absolutely incredible. Nina, who runs the show, is a true gem. We enjoyed... More

Travelled to Dublin weekend of 25th June for friends birthday celebrations. Abrae guesthouse had been one of the cheapest places when booked. Distance wasn't too far from the centre with great transport links.(bus stops outside/down the road) Took around an hour using public transport from the airport (bought a city link card for €33 for 72hr use-bargain!) Booked direct through... More

Stayed here late May on business trip & it was truly enjoyable. Friendly staff & the room was very clean & respectable. Location wise your right at bus routes to the city & a short stroll to Rathgar Village ! Highly recommend for business or leisure !
