My daughter and I spent one night with John & Cathy in their home, Ophira. We were given the front bedroom which was very large and spacious. It was nice to be able to stretch out after traveling in Ireland for almost 2 weeks. The room came with small flat screen TV and a hair dryer. The bathroom was small...

We had a good enough stay here, but no sleep! Our room was facing the front street where the noise from the police station gate opening and closing kept us up both nights - we are not light sleepers, it was really that loud - even ear plugs didn't help!!! The hosts were very nice and rooms clean - but...

I stayed at Ophira the last two days of a month-long trip to the British Isles, and it was just what I needed. They were just reopening after some time off, so I was the only guest. I loved my room at the top of the house - it was airy and cozy, with plenty of room, a huge bed,...

This was my 2nd visit. Warm welcome on arrival. Hosts still accommodating. Even washed out drinking cups everyday for us. Breakfast was amazing. Replenishing food and drink before finishing currently plate or glass full.

John and Cathy were gracious hosts, making us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was wonderful and the coffee was strong! The room was very comfortable and everything worked. Not sure what we can add to what others have praised already. The location keeps you out of the hustle of Dublin, but only a 5 minute walk to the harbor...

Great B & B with wonderful hosts. As other reviewers have commented, it is a few minutes walk from downtown and the DART. John had our breakfast prepared early so that we could get to the airport in time to make our flight back to the US. He also provided us with the most clear-cut driving directions that we received...

John and Cathy are wonderful B&B hosts. The breakfasts were just right. John saw how my eyes lit up when another client requested mushrooms and made sure I had mushrooms, too. Their home is a lovely Victorian on a quiet street with an easy walk to town center. I felt very comfortable here.

I made a late booking for the OPHIRA guesthouse in Dun Llaoghaire and the owners went out of their ay to make my four day stay very pleasant indeed. The room facilities are first class and the Irish breakfast excellent..It is a pleasant Victorian house, built in 1847 and is very close to the town centre with the added bonus...

The definitive B & B: splendid facilities, generous hosts, excellent breakfasts. It was a grand introduction to Ireland for us - John was an entertaining proprietor and Cathy conjured splendidly varied meals. All the review endorsements are well deserved - we will return to this superior accommodation on our next visit to the Emerald Isle.
