Fantastic location, in walking distance of Eyre Square, big spacious rooms with very comfortable beds, amazing meals in Marinas restaurant and Coopers bar, as for the staff 10/10 the most friendly staff I have encountered.
Excellent experience all round. Great location as so near to town, room was great as were staff, and busy (in a good way) hotel bar open until late. Will be recommending and probably returning myself at some stage.
Beautiful hotel very friendly staff. Will definitely visit again. A little expensive but that is reflective of all hotels at the moment so it was still good value because the hotel was so nice. 10/10.
Gorgeous rooms with every luxury you could need. Stunning foyer , glass elevators with seaviews. Can’t wait to return and enjoy the outdoor dining. The bar area is a great place for ambience. The staff are excellent.
I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Staff were very helpful when I requested information of where to go in Galway City. We visited Salthill walked along the seafront, we also walked down the Spanish Arch. We really enjoyed our stay in Galway City.
Good for working reasons. Little bit old the rooms and there were no so many service attitude provided since we were business travelling. The shower has a problem that it sends hot water and then suddenly cold water. It feels like weird probably this is the spa Irish way of taking a shower
Great location near to every amenity in the city centre. Beautiful hotel. Brilliant service from the staff. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay again in this hotel. 10/10 top marks really enjoyed my stay here.
I’ve stayed here a few times and it is a great location. The rooms are a good size, although probably a bit warm, even after playing around with the temperature. The bed and linen are comfy, the bathroom is well equipped. The hotel is surprisingly quiet at night, given size and location of hotel. There is a large breakfast buffet, but experience has taught us to head down early, as it gets mental busy near closing time. Car parking is €10 a day, but car park is small so not easy to find a space, and the spaces are quite tight. This hotel is well run and never disappoints.
We visited The Galmont this weekend and found every element of our stay to be very good! The check in was smooth and easy, the room was superb with sweeping views over Lough Atalia. I really liked the air con in the room as I like a colder room. The swimming pool, although on the smaller side was great for a dip. The dinner was beautiful in Marinas, with great food and service. Finally, we retired to Coopers for a post dinner cocktail and some piano music. It was however, the staff who elevated the experience to the next level. I want to say thanks to Sean and Clodagh on the desk. Matt and Donall in the restaurant. Kerry and Carl in Coopers. You guys really made our stay something special!
We stayed here for 3 nights for my birthday in February. Check in was fine and we were welcomed be a lovely chap on the reception. Our room was lovely with a great view of the river. Bed was huge and really comfy. Huge tv on the wall, coffee and tea making facilities and the bathroom was every bit as good. We had food in the bar the first night, it was nice but not a great selection. We stayed in the bar for a few drinks and listened to two guys playing jazz on guitars. Great musicians but definitely not my genre in music. Second night we had the restaurant booked for dinner, lovely setting and enjoyed a nice merlot. My meal of salmon was lovely but my wife had the slow cooked beef which was very dry and tough. The waiters and staff were very friendly and very attentive. Breakfast was nice, plenty of cereal and fruits to start. The sausages and rashers were a bit hit and miss unfortunately but overall it was a nice breakfast. We didn’t try the gym but it looked a great spot but we visited the pool. Pool and changing area are nice and clean. I’d a lovely swim and sauna and would highly recommend it on your stay. The hotel itself is lovely and spacious well designed and comfortable. I loved the artwork on the walls. Before I forget, a big shoutout to the piano player on Saturday night who played in the bar. He was brilliant, I really enjoyed him. The hotel is only a short walk to Eyre Square so it’s in a great spot. Our checkout wasn’t good, there were big queues. People were checking in and other trying to check out which was a bit ridiculous. The lady checking us out wasn’t a bit nice and was bothered if we’d enjoyed our stay or not. It’s a bad impression on leaving any hotel. It’s also €10 a night parking if you’re a resident which I never had to pay in any other hotel. Finally, we really enjoyed our stay at the Galmont and would have no problem recommending it to anyone. …
