well I have to say I found all the reception staff to be very welcoming and chatty... I would not cancel .. I have tried to book for a weekend in April and can't get in and I'm very disappointed.. maybe you got through to their central bookings and not the hotel it self... All male reception staff when I was there in December.. you won t find a nicer hotel in Galway and in walking distance to every thing.
