OK, it wasn't a 5 star, but for what you are paying, it's a very good hotel. The room was clean and modernly appointed. The washroom was a bit tight, but again, it was nicely decorated with good shower power. The outside may be a bit off putting, but the rooms are renovated. The room was quiet and we had...

Booked a family room for 5 - 2 adults and 3 children. Good sized room, clean although decor a bit tired. I also cannot remember the last time I had to manually switch a tv on at the front with a big old button. Friendly hotel, good hearty breakfast, Bar downstairs with v large dinner servings. Would definitely recommend, would...

They assisted with booking a tour, gave great recommendations for where to go to listen to live music, and how to get around Galway. I used the...

It amazes me that a hotel trying to attract international visitors still insists on pandering to the Irish tastes of lager, stout or cider. Even the local Chinese restaurant in Galway town had two Irish ales on offer, ok they were bottled but this is a start. The bar man at Flannery's was quite dismissive - "have you tried Smithicks?"...
