Celebrated a confirmation in the restraunt. Staff were fanrastic. Really went the extra mile. Banners and ballons around the table. Guest of honors name on the menu and desert plate. Even gave her a box of after eights when leaving. They were very friendly and couldn't do enough. Even the porter approached or table to let us know our car boot was open. Quality of service matched by the quality (and quantity) of food. Large selection of starters, mains and deserts. All of it delicious. Would absolutely recommend for family occassions.
Staff was awesome and very friendly. Everyone we expereinced was concerned about our comfort and happiness. Rooms are very clean and the hotel is in the perfect location. Few steps from busses and cabs so you do not have to walk far with luggage when traveling to and from. It is off the path so you are not surrounded by all the pub partying and close enough for you to walk to all the pubs and enjoy the partying. House keeping and room was perfect. Great Pub atmosphere too. I wouls say this is a great place for couples and not people looking to party like younger adults. Older crowd but a perfect set up for us. A very fair price for a hotel as nice as the Park House.
This hotel has understated elegance and a cool retro vibe that continues to astound and please, especially as it isn’t in New York or Paris. The accommodations are excellent snd comfortable, especially in the new wing. The rooms are spotless and the beds and bedding are high quality. The restaurant itself could stand up to any around the world in terms of freshness and service. We love being treated as family and praise the efforts of Simon and his staff under the diligent leadership of Miss Kitty. We can’t wait to return for another renewal and treat of western Irish hospitality, long may it last.
The decor and vibe felt like a retirement home, but the room was fine and big enough for a small couch. Location was good, within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go and great restaurants/bars close by.
We are just back from a 2 night stay at this hotel. From the minute we arrived till the minute we left....it was flawless!! The staff were so helpful and paid so much attention to detail without being constantly in your face, Bruno, Ollie, Andrew & Agnieska (Agnes) in the bar and for bar food. Caroline & Kitty at breakfast, John, Ciaran & 2 x Bernie's. Finally last but no means least the consistency of top quality food from the kitchen...PJ, Gearoid & Martin take a bow! Unbelievably top quality, tasty and always pipping hot...down to the toast for breakfast. Worth every cent and more to stay here, eat here and if you stay once you'll return time and time again. Best hotel we've stayed in by a country mile ...ever! Safe to say we will see ye real soon again...continued success to ye all.…
We got to the hotel and the parking is a joke . The rude attendant told me in the rain to park anywhere while I was getting out my car hit the wall. He let on it did not happen!! The restaurant was busy and the service was very good, I had steak it was small and very fatty. Garlic potatoes no taste and French fries were frozen not fresh. My wife had the scallops she ordered potatoes with the scallops, but it came with potatoes so two types of potatoes . And last the apple tart came out cold. Disappointed as it’s not cheap.
Really great hotel in the middle of Galway, but just outside the Latin quarter so no late night revealers waking you up. Can walk to main shopping area from hotel. Parking is limited and very tight. Definitely rent a small car to make easy on yourself
I stayed here for one night based on all of the good reviews. It was a pleasant experience. The staff were lovely - especially the bar staff - so friendly and seemed so happy in their work. I had dinner in the bar and the food was delicious and a decent portion! I had the salmon. Breakfast was lovely. The dining room was nice and bright and the staff again were a total pleasure. When I checked in, the room smelled super strong of aftershave - I mentioned this to the receptionist who with no issue at all provided me another room. I was grateful for this. The rooms were large and clean and there was alot of hot water for a bath. Overall good experience and the location is excellent.
An old-school, labyrinthian hotel near Eyre Square in Galway. Service is great, and you can't beat the location. Our stay was very comfortable, and the staff have been helpful in trying to return my wife's airpods (which we left in a nightstand).
Brilliant hotel- comfortable, clean, great location & very friendly staff. Lovely bar food (soup, sandwiches etc) Evening dinner in the restaurant is overpriced for what it is.- this would be my only downside But overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Galway city.
