We have stayed in this hotel many times over the years but this time it was disappointing. We had lunch and dinner and although the food was lovely the service was very slow and the dining room in the evening was cold as was the bars afterwards. The shower in the room was lukewarm. Breakfast was excellent and Breakfast staff were efficient and friendly. Had a few other issues which we gave in feedback but no response from the hotel. Finally we had to pay 20 euro to use the thermal suite and this was a rip off. Had a lakeside suite which was lovely with a very comfortable bed

The service was outstanding at this hotel. The best I have experienced at any 5 star hotel. I couldn’t fault any aspect of our stay. Beautiful room and a choice of lounges to dine in and relax with a few drinks.

Absolutely brilliant stay at The G hotel. Celebrated a birthday here recently and was given a complimentary room upgrade which was absolutely excellent. Made feel very welcome by all staff especially Troy who brought us into Galway in the courtesy car. Really enjoyed the fish and chips from the restaurant and the breakfast which was lovely. Brilliant stay and will definitely be coming back.

We had a fantastic time at the baby shower in their pink room yesterday. 5* experience was delivered by wonderful, friendly and professional staff Kasia, Lukasz and Karolina while we were enjoying delicious afternoon tea. They let us stay there for few hours...it was just too hard to leave 😊. The g hotel has always been a stunning place but after the latest renovation I was amazed. Its really beautiful. Well done the g!

Had the most wonderful stay at the G hotel. We are a young couple who visited to celebrate our anniversary. We were treated very well and we felt extremely special throughout. All staff were very kind and helpful. The rooms were highly comfortable and kept at a high standard. Each morning we spent time in the vitality suite to unwind, and then ate an incredibly tasty breakfast. The courtesy car took us wherever we wanted to go at any time that suited us. The staff were very kind and informative on our trips in the car and provided great food and drink recommendations! Overall, we wholeheartedly recommend for anyone to stay here. We are already planning our next trip back!!

From entering the hotel to leaving the hotel this morning we couldn't have felt more at ease and as important as the next person due to the wonderful lovely staff from reception to the restaurant to the Spa, everyone involved have truly given us the 5 star treatment.. would recommend to all to try and stay in the excellent GHotel, so well situated for going into the city... with a courtesy car no less!! We will definitely be back!

I feel this is a 4 star hotel, not 5. I stayed two nights bnb and also had lunch both days and dinner in GiGis. I can't fault the food, everything was lovely. The courtesy car was also excellent as the hotel is slightly out of town. A few negatives... I ordered breakfast in bed from reception one night and there was no sign of it in the morning. When I rang reception the order was still there, so hadn't been handed into the kitchen. My order was brought up with no room service charge. The thermal suite is pretty small. It was fine for about 20 mins but there are better spa areas in Galway. There's no swimming pool which is a pity. The gym is well equipped however the Aircon was not working so it was too stuffy to workout. Also the Aircon in the room wasn't cool enough, and you can't open the windows. If this was a 4* hotel I wouldn't mind all those small things, however for a 5* hotel, everything should be perfect. …
