Very disappointed. The hotel was undergoing some renovations, but the noise, etc wasn’t the problem While location was good and parking close by, the hotel’s service and rooms were really poor. The rooms ( we had two) were not clean- grimy fixtures in the bathroom, stained carpets, light fixtures falling off the walls, drapes falling off the windows. Instant coffee in 1 room but no tea( in Ireland?). We paid for included breakfast. Waited 40 min for our food ( which, tbh, wasn’t bad), which came out with 5 min between 2 of the 4 people at the table. I haven’t ever written a bad review of a hotel or restaurant but This was an unpleasant experience.

The room was nice. The location is great. Bathroom a bit small but very clean. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good. They were doing remodeling while we were there and the staff did everything to help accommodate guests. Highly recommend the hotel.

The welcome my husband and I received at the House Hotel was amazing. Jenny helped us from checking in to dinner reservations. We celebrated our 28th anniversary trip and we’re given fabulous accommodations with a view of the docks. Even with the renovations, the stay was one of the best in our Ireland tour. The Eggs Benedict and full Irish breakfast was a scrumptious gourmet breakfast. Kudos to the chef! Jenny and Paige, thank you for everything!

We stayed here one night but arrived super early after our flight into Shannon - the staff was so nice and were able to get us into a room that had cancelled. The location can't be beat - right in the Latin Quarter, so close to pubs/shops/Eyre Square and the bus station. If you drive, there is a paid parking lot right down the street. Breakfast in the hotel was also lovely!

The hotel photo belie the actual experience. This hotel is under major construction, which starts promptly at 0800. Our room was cramped with furniture and we could barely turn around in the bathroom shower. We had to take suitcases on/off our beds to get anything out them. AC didn't work and the room was quite stuffy. The hotel lobby & dining area is crammed into one small 100x100 ft area. Definitely close to the Spanish Quarter and Quay St. So close that you hear the bar patrons singing & cursing at 2 AM as they cut through the side streets. The hotel staff was fantastic, but it didn't make up for the less-than-comfortable accommodations.

My friends came over to visit me from the UK and stayed at The House Hotel. I joined them for breakfast at the hotel where the food was very delicious and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be recommending this place for future visitors.

We went to the House Hotel after having a bad experience in our first night in Galway. We called before going and Ms. Paige was very kind on the phone, when we arrived she treated us very respectfully and tried to make our night better. She found us a room, talked to us and went beyond expectations for being so kind. The room was nice and very clean, the shower was awesome and the breakfast was nice as well. Thank you!

Nice little hotel super close to the Quay where there are a lot of bars and restaurants and shopping. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is a lift which provides accessibility for the disabled. I believe our room was slated for being updated which the handicap shower really needed as it was very flimsy. They have a topper on the beds which was too soft for me but i just removed it and they stowed it away. They have a kind of take away brekkie you can sign up for but IMHO just make a reservation to eat downstairs. At the time of my visit they did not have a proper handicap ramp. Rather a homemade plywood piece that was very steep and not practical. Hopefully, they will get a proper ramp or you have to climb 3 steps. They are in the midst of a major room and lobby upgrade so I would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stop on our Ireland vacation. We knew in advance that they were remodeling the first floor and there was no afternoon or evening restaurant but there were too many other glitches that if we knew about, would have made other plans. The staff was especially pleasant and responsive which was great, and in a way we felt bad as it seemed some of the challenges they knew about but didn’t have complete control. We were traveling as a family and had three rooms (one infant). The heat was not working and not sure if it was a system problem or they were trying to control it separately. Hot water for showers varied by room and our towel heater wasn’t operating. TV signals were intermittent although not important as we were in the room as little as possible. Breakfast had to be scheduled at a specific time as they had to accommodate guests in shifts. Also Concierge service really limited. It’s an older building that is quaint, but it would have been helpful to know about some of the issues in advance.
