Welcome to the House Hotel, a luxurious boutique hotel located in the heart of Galway City. The House Hotel represents the ideal "Home away from home" with its cosy atmosphere, chic style, excellent facilities and personalised service. Features of the guestrooms include flat screen TV's with internet access, safe and crisp white linen that will guarantee you a comfortable night sleep.
I stayed here for two nights while visiting the university in Galway There was some confusion at check-in - despite being given my name as the guest, the hotel had registered the room against the person who booked it from the university. Managed to sort that out (luckily I had kept the paperwork). Staff were generally helpful and the breakfasts were quite good. I had one evening meal which I enjoyed. The oddities - my room wasn't made up on the second day (which I only discovered at 9.30 pm when I returned after a day's work and then dinner). The first night sleep was disturbed by a light shining in from the attic/roof space above my room through an open ceiling vent. And, most odd of all, there are no power points next to the bed. This might not bother most people but as I…

Parking close by and great hotel parking rate . Hotel and rooms spotlessly clean . Although quite close to main road, room was very well insulated against noise-very quiet. Great location and very short distance to restaurants & bars. Staff were brilliant.

Good convenient Location Nice Food. Friendly Staff payed extra for a deluxe room but it did not feel like one, poor finishes and no view, chrome cast & small shower head didn't work along with breakfast the next day being nearly an hour late.

The hotel is located in the city. The staff were OK. The bed was very comfortable. The toiletries were good quality. The towels were very soft. The carpet had coffee or tea stains on it. The cooked breakfast was good quality. The buffet was ok. The parking is a short walk away and the hotel discounts it, as they don't have their own parking.

Just returned from our weekend away. I awarded the hotel 3 stars - location fabulous, hotel clean and welcoming and rooms ok. Negatives - food the worst I have ever had!! Lunch was terrible and the tapas the bridesmaids had arranged was poor and uninspiring. The staff were unprofessional and have no leadership but I will say Eoin and James (night porter)were trying really hard and deserve to get a mention. I will return because I liked the hotel and hopefully the restaurant will have rectified their problems.

Dear Helen, Thank you for taking the time to offer feedback following on from your recent stay with The House Hotel. I am disappointed to read that your dining experience was far below the standards we set ourselves. I believe a member of your party was speaking to our Food and Beverage Manager after dinner and that the issue was resolved there and then. We've reached out to the organiser directly following your feedback which is much appreciated as this does not reflect our normal standard of service. I will pass on your compliments to Eoin and James, I know they will be delighted to hear that you singled them out for praise. I look forward to welcoming you back to The House Hotel soon. Regards Maura O'Donnell General Manager

Location: This hotel is in a great location as you can walk to Quay Street and its restaurants and shopping in 5 minutes. The downside of the location is there is no on-site parking and the parking lot is 10 minute walk away. Interior: The interior of the hotel appears to be recently renovated with a modern but comfortable vibe. The rooms are a nice size for a city hotel but the showers are tiny. Food: Wonderful breakfast with an excellent cold buffet and warm item menu. The restaurant is not great for dinner.

Spent two nights here, with a friend the weekend of 29th March 2019. Location was excellent (everything within walking distance), staff very friendly and helpful and a lovely clean room. Breakfast was fairly good. Would happily return!

We really enjoyed our stay at The House Hotel. It took us a bit to find the recommended parking, but one we did, no issues. The walk from the parking structure is doable, but keep in mind you're carrying your luggage the whole way. In hindsight, I would have stuck to carry on bags for our stay here because of it. There is a lift to take you up to your room which was helpful. Room was nice and larger than your typical European room. Staff was pleasant, traditional Irish breakfast was hearty and tasty, and location cannot be beat. We walked everywhere around Galway and felt safe doing so. I would stay here again.

Location good; rooms reasonably comfortable; some issues experienced at reception (language, organisation, messy environment). OK for a 1 - 2 night stay. Avoid weekends if you want to avoid the hens/stags. Some furniture very worn - only ikea quality so they could consider replacing
