We recently stayed at Achill Lodge, the room was clean and had beautiful views. However, we found host to be rather cold and unwelcoming. We were flying out the following day, so we requested to print boarding passes, the request was declined with a sorry excuse. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing special. You were not offered refills of juice or...

We had a fantasic stay for 3 nights at the Achill Lodge- our family of 5. From our second story room, you looked over the road to a spectacular view of Galway Bay (the website pictures don't do it justice), and we could see many people swimming in the ocean (bay), as well as windsurfing, and in the far distance,...

NULLI SECUNDUS We arrived at Achill Lodge on the day of the European Cup Final and were greeted by Marie and Michael Dempsey who instantly made us feel very welcome. After settling into our room and being Mancunians we obviously wanted to go and watch the match. Michael without giving it a second thought offered to give us a lift...

Superior owners make this an excellent place to stay. It's out by the very scenic bay so its a long walk to town or take a cab. Great breakfast!

We stayed at Achill Lodge in September ,2007. Although it's slightly removed from the center of Galway its very accessible and we found the lovely view worth it. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast delightful.. The owners went out of their way to accomodate with our travel and dinner plans. We felt very much at home.

My girlfriend and I just returned from a wonderful vacation in Ireland. I chose Achill Lodge in Salthill as our initial stopover for 2 nights partly based on the great reviews it had received on this site. Overall the B&B is pretty with large clean rooms (very large bathroom) and a varied choice of breakfast options which were all wonderful....

Plenty of B&B's just outside Galway, in Salthill. Achill Lodge is along a strip of them. Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Full Irish breakfast. Not many restaurants to choose from for dinner, so eat in Galway while your visiting the city.
