Our expectations for a bed and breakfast are simple in that it has to be friendly, feel comfortable and welcoming. Alas the Countess House did not live up to these expectations. The welcome was short and was "here's the wifi password, there's a lounge and here's your room". When asked about recommendation for places to go and places to eat...

My daughter and I were greeted by Keith upon arrival. He tried to get us a room with 2 beds but none were available. The travel agent reserved a double and did not inform them that we were mother and daughter so it was not the fault of the B&B. The room was clean, simple and functional. No toiletries were...

Stayed there for two nights last week meet at the door by a lovely woman who made sure we were updated on everything the b&b had to offer. The room was a reasonable size and clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but enough room to take a shower without hitting anything which is all we wanted. The...

Stayed here for one night. Room was very small as was the bathroom. Very small tv in the room. There is a building site behind the house which was noisy in the morning and woke us up. Breakfast was basic enough. Wouldn't be rushing back but it was grand for a night. Staff were chatty and friendly.

First of all, I have to say that the "boss" was away and also that our booking seemed not to have been confirmed by the agents. Whether we were lucky to find a room at Countess House after that is actually a moot point, we would have done better to find a room somewhere else. We had booked a twin...

Barely know where to begin describing what a huge disappointment this place was. We were booked in for two nights but we left after the first night since we couldn't stand it. On arrival we were met by an unfriendly and unhelpful young man in his boxer shorts, who gave no pretense of a welcome or introduction, and brusquely rushed...

Love Killarney and saw many beautiful B&B's, but Countess House would not be our choice, again. Extremely small bathroom with broken shower door. Can't close curtains because of heater, but heater didn't work!! Street lights beam thru the windows. No drinking water in room. No soap for shower. TV bolted to the wall, facing outside window, so you can't see...

2 adults, 3 kids, we were put in the 'attic'. These rooms shouldn't even be in use, in my opinion, & I can only re-iterate what a lot of others had to say. Grubby, old, lacking basic facilities & very overpriced. Water tank overhead where the double bed is, running all night. No bedside lockers, no wifi signal in those...

This B&B was the first one we stayed at in Ireland, and it was one of the best. Just a 5 minute walk from the town center, but on a quiet street.. the best of both worlds. We had 4 people so we got a room with 4 twin beds, which worked well for us. There was a nice common...

This place was booked for us through a travel agency. We were looking for mid-range accommodations as we made our way around Ireland over 2 weeks. This one was very disappointing. While the location is good, a quick walk to downtown... the room was not. There were no table or bedside lamps, no shelves in the restroom to set anything...
