It is perhaps nearly three years since we last stayed in Cahernane House and, frankly, I had forgotten how very good it is. Formerly a grand and beautifully constructed manor house it is very well located - within walking distance of Killarney town centre - but once you go down the long tree lined avenue you enter a peaceful oasis...

The grounds of this hotel are most impressive as you drive in - tree-lined gravel road with pasture on either side. Far enough back from the road so it's quiet. Parking was ample in front and the lobby was warm and inviting with a perpetual fire in the fireplace. The sitting rooms in the lobby (Library, sun room, formal sitting...

My daughter and I wanted to spend part of our Ireland vacation in an old manor home/castle. Unfortunately, by the time I booked, many of the more famous places were already at capacity, so I was lucky to find a room at Cahernane House. Boy did we get lucky! This is a great, old, small hotel staffed by the nicest,...

We celebrated my fathers 70th at the weekend in the Cahernane. The hotel were so helpful with all the planning required and the weekend was a huge success. The food was amazing and the staff and their service was seamless. I would highly recommend the hotel for weddings, parties and all our friends and relatives who stayed thought it was...

Thanks to the staff of the Cahernane House Hotel, we had the most wonderful family gathering. The staff were more than accommodating and there was never a problem. The food was five star restaurant quality and the ambiance was perfect. The bedrooms were spacious and of a high standard. I really can't say enough about this hotel, so much, so,...

We had a family celebration at Cahernane House. It was like a mini wedding with over 80 people invited and our guests booking out the hotel for the night. We had the most amazing night. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food, atmosphere and general ambience of the hotel couldn't have been more special. I can't...

This place is gorgeous - there are no other words. When we arrived, we felt like we had stepped back in time, and the place made us feel so relaxed. It is about a 10-15 min walk to Killarney town, but well worth it. The common areas are all beautifully decorated, and our room was large and very clean. Our...

You enter the Manor House hotel down a leafy lane close to the Killarney National Park. There is a warm fire to welcome you as you enter the front door. There are several elegant rooms you can sit in and read or play games. On the side of the house a sunny glass conservatory. The bed rooms we were given...

I stayed here recently as part of a large Christmas party group. My husband and I were allocated Room 18 which is in the old part of the house, on the top floor. The room was large and well furnished, with a glorious view of the mountains. There was a very nice seating area, and the bed was big and...

If one wants to go back in time and enjoy Ireland as it was many years ago then this is the place to stay. A long tree lined drive greets you from the main road- a amazing sight as the leaves fall in November. The reception sets the scene with an open log fire. There are many amazing large rooms...
