Staffed by friendly and helpful family, son Rory helped locate rain ponchos and gave sound advice about our impending trip to Skellig Michael. Lodge boasts carved woodwork, fireplace with couches, formal dining room. Spacious room with two queen beds and full bathroom made this a welcome change of pace from the normally tiny B&B bedrooms. Not located near much in... More

The Old Weir Lodge was our first hotel on a recent trip to Ireland and we are thrilled with this place. The family owners are more than happy to help you with anything - restaurants, logistics, tours, pubs, sightseeing and recommendations about other places we were going in Ireland. The rooms were large, very comfortable and perfect for my wife,... More

The hotel was nice enough. The room was large and clean, but the elevator to get up with your luggage was TINY - just enough room for 2 people and 2 large suitcases to squeeze in. The hotel is on a main street and the staff were friendly and helpful. Well worth it.

Wonderful hotel, perfect location. Great place as a base for exploring Killarney and the surrounding national parks including the Ring of Kerry. The staff were great and the accommodation was perfect. Only catered for breakfast but they were able to recommend some terrific local resaurants.

A one night stay on our drive around Kerry, this was a last minute choice that turned out to be excellent. Easy walk into Killarney, restaurants nearby and the most friendly and helpful staff ever. Only missed out on five stars because the bed was a little uncomfortable. Great hotel though.

We stayed here for 2 nights in October and were delighted with every aspect of this hotel. It is ideally located for access to the Ring of Kerry as well as Killarney town centre, and our room (108) was very quiet, immaculately clean, well equipped and spacious. The breakfast choice is extensive and all of the staff are very friendly... More

Great location, wonderful accommodations, good breakfast, helpful staff! We stayed here 3 nights and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in this area. The day we arrived it was pouring rain but we were able to walk to a great place for dinner which was perfect! Clean, safe, pretty, all around a winner!

The Old Weir Lodge was our favourite place we stayed in whilst visiting Ireland. Everything was great and no ask was too much (including late night pots of tea). The staff were fabulous and very accommodating. It was a close walk (5mins) into Killarney centre and the room was spacious & comfy. We would highly recommend staying here for a... More
