Visited Kilkenny recently for one night, stayed at Chaplins B & B. The welcome was friendly and the room was clean, bright and comfortable. The full Irish breakfast was superb. The proprietors were very helpful and offered to drive us into town.

Well... They say that the Irish are nice people, but Jim and Joan were waaaaay beyond nice! They rushed in to give us an early check-in in, then they rode us to the city, and, since we needed an early checkout, they prepared breakfast for us, in a wee lovely tray. We're very impressed by the hospitality! Just lovely!

Just a quick stop over, busy little B and B, excellent breakfast with plenty of everything, rooms as stated elsewhere are possibly a little dated, but have everything you need, bed was also comfy. Found room a little cold, but maybe that was just the time we came in at 😄

Room is small and outdated but Very clean with good pillows/mattress. Town is a solid 15 minute walk and parking is scarce there. Parking is tight as is case for many b and bs, so we just didn't use car while there. Pubs across street for food. Taxis are plentiful though. Pay extra for the full Irish it's worth it.

Good location away from the noise of downtown yet still easily walkable. The room was clean and simple. Joan was lovely! On the day of our departure she served us tea and biscuits and gave us a ride with all of our luggage to the bus stop.

Stayed in this lovely b&b for one night. The room was comfortable with all the room facilities needed and the hospitality was so nice. Nothing was to much trouble. A five star breakfast. I would highly recommend this b&b.

We came down to Kilkenny to see a show for Kilkenomics. We booked the room through AirBnb (but I think I have run out of time to review on that site). Joan and her husband were very friendly, offering to drop us into town for a drink. The room was comfortable with all mod cons and quiet. The little breakfast...

The B&B is in a great location, away from the city buzz but at the same time only 10 minutes' walk. The room was fabulous and huge, the breakfast was perfectly Irish. The landlord called us a taxi every time we would go out and was very friendly. Would go back again!

We enjoyed our stay at Chaplins. The outside does not do this place justice. We found the room to be very nice and spacious and it had a nice en suite bathroom as well. The host was friendly and provided us information about the area.
