The Savoy Hotel comes highly recommended by guests for its prime city center location and stylish, comfortable atmosphere, complete with modern decor and a lively bar scene that features live music. Travelers consistently commend the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and delicious breakfast, though some have noted occasional disappointments with spa availability. Cleanliness is a standout, with the hotel earning accolades for its immaculate rooms and public spaces. While the service is generally applauded for being friendly and professional, there are a few remarks about issues with housekeeping and breakfast service. Opinions on value are polarized; some guests feel they received fair quality for the price, especially during meals, while others cite overcharging for certain services as a concern.

Stayed for business while in Limerick and can’t wait to return with my husband the next time.

Hotel has been renovated and is luxurious yet welcoming. Reception staff were super helpful and explained how to park the car and brought my bags to my room while I parked.

Room was on the executive level which was modern, beautifully decorated and super spacious. Even had its own little balcony! Kettle provided for tea making as well as a Nespresso machine. Bathroom had a bath and separate walk in shower and hotel provided Molten Brown toiletries.

Executive lounge was a lovely surprise. Huge room with different sofas and tables as well as free refreshments and snacks all day. Huge balcony with views over St Johns Castle.

Spa and Gym were great! Gym slightly on the small side but did the job. Even got a last min spa treatment without a booking. Express facial for €37!!

Lots of choice for dining. I chose the Hamptons New York grill; can highly recommend the Cajun Cod and prices very reasonable.

Breakfast served from 7am...cold buffet provided and hot breakfast all made fresh to order.

Thanks so much for looking after me so well Savoy. Can’t wait to come back!

On a chance conversation my daughter had with one of her friends we decided to have a look at the Hero's Deal offered by the Savoy.
Absolutely not disappointed other than some restriction to Spa due to Covid restrictions.( Better half disappointed).
Set down area was very convenient and check in was carried out a table in the foyer.
Receptionist efficient and offered an upgrade to a suite which was accepted gratefully. Nice touch was a complimentary bottle of water during the check in.
Bags were taken up to our room which was well appointed, with one of the largest beds I have seen in a long time.
Did miss the usual info magazines which due to Covid restrictions were unavailable.
Lounge area very comfortable with a large screen TV which acted as a divider to the room but able to swing around to watch from both sides of the room.
Bath room was large with walk in shower and large bath , double wash basins and toilet.
Didn't bump into my better half once !
Up grade also included late check out, entry into executive lounge with use of tea, fresh coffee, soft drinks and snacks.
Another Heros extra was complimentary glass of bubbly from the bar.
We had dinner first night in The Hamptons which was superb ( I'll review this separately), glorious breakfast in The Library the following day.
Parking was directly opposite and was discounted by the hotel.
Staff were fantastic, polite and courteous at all times which made for a lovely relaxed couple of days.
I would definitely recommend The Savoy and will definitely return for another stay hopefully in the not too distance future. Its location is well within short diving distance to several locations in the south west of Ireland. Its also just a block from the mighty river Shannon and a short drive to Shannon Airport.

On a recent visit to Limerick, my wife & I stayed at the Savoy. We had stayed there pre pandemic & we were very impressed with the quality of our accommodation, the friendliness of the staff & the dining facilities both in the bar & the beautiful Hamptons restaurant. We didn't expect that the same standards could be maintained, given all the Covid protocols that have to be adhered to. It was no surprise that every detail was perfect, with hand sanitising & even the remote control in our room wrapped & sanitised. The Savoy is a truly wonderful place to stay & the management are to be congratulated for the very high standards for guests. The central location means that most things are within walking distance & secure parking is available right across the street. All the staff are friendly & helpful & the ever vigilant CHRISTY, is a fund of knowledge on everything local. We really enjoyed our stay & on our next visit to Limerick or the surrounding area, we will look no further than the Savoy & we will have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Six of us (sisters, cousins and sisters in law) stayed here on an overnight break in January. We got rate of €250 per room that included dinner and breakfast (a bit expensive in my opinion). The hotel is very central and close to shops, sights and Thomand Park! Check in was fast and friendly. Our twin bedded room was large with two queen beds. It looked a bit dated and the shower room needed redecoration. The tap in the handbasin was leaking. There was a bit of mould in the shower. After a stroll around town we met up for dinner. The main restaurant was closed and we ate in the hotels American style restaurant The Hamptons which is next door but you can access it through the hotel. The food was good and nicely presented by friendly staff. It's a big noisy space with loud music that seemed to get louder as the evening went on. We enjoyed a few drinks in the bar afterwards. Breakfast next morning was excellent with something for everyone. Check out was a bit slow. Be aware you will need a credit card to pay. No debit cards or cash accepted. I would rate this hotel as 3 or 4 star, not 5!

As part of our small group tours we brought a group to the Savoy for afternoon tea last month. From the minute we walked in the door the staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming and took care ofour every need. The tea itself was perfect and they made sure our teapots were never empty. I would gladly return!

We recently stayed in the Savoy for my Birthday. We were due to stayed for two nights in one of the junior suites. This was our second time to stay in the hotel and again we were really impressed. The room was amazing and spacious. The use of the executive lounge was a nice touch. Room was clean reception and bar staff friendly and professional. The Covid requirements were handled with utmost precision with limited impact to the atmosphere. At lunch and breakfast staff were a credit to hotel.

We had dinner two nights in the Hamptons one for my birthday and then the second night too. My wife had an unfortunate fall on the way to the restaurant on the stairs. The staff in the restaurant were excellent in particular Natalia who rushed to my wifes aid. She got ice packs to the table and delivered to our room. She even rang a nearby pharmacy to check if it was open for me to get some cream.

We were amazed at how professional and helpful the staff were

Our room was so nice it was a pleasure to take it easy the next day.

When we went to dinner the next night another hostess made sure to check on my wife.

At Dessert they came out with a candle and sang happy birthday. They had planned to do in on my birthday but knew we would not have been in the mood.

This was a very enjoyable stay and actions of staff a credit to the hotel.

I highly recommend the hotel and hope to be back soon.

We stayed in The Savoy last week for the second time and again loved it. We decided to again ask if any suites were available and for €50 we got the upgrade which meant we had a fabulous suite, late checkout and access to the executive lounge. This was great for us as we were traveling with baby so we had lots of space.
Great location. Fabulous rooms, extremely comfortable beds. Helpful staff.
Only issue was that due to Covid restrictions all slots for the pool were book so we could not use the pool which was disappointing. We also ordered a baby bowl of food to the room which was €4 but cost us €14 with the price of room service. Also when we booked I made the mistake of booking room only which gave us a shock with our bill at checkout.

Stayed here for a night in September. One of my favourite hotels to stay in as it has everything location, lovely rooms and the best breakfast. First time staying during COVID but it didn’t disappoint. So well set up in every area. Sanitizer points available throughout the hotel as well as being provided with a small bottle to take out of your room. Had a lovely dinner in the Hamptons and the best breakfast in the stunning library. All of the staff throughout the hotel couldn’t do enough for you especially Sarah at reception. Would highly recommend and cannot wait for next chance to return.

After walking into the lobby on Sunday morning (15th) enquiring about a room due to a last minute stay in Limerick I can just say the experience from then until checkout Monday was 5 star and faultless. Everything from the passes to the business lounge while waiting , to the quality of the bars and restaurants to the attentive nature of the staff. Everyone is just an absolute credit to the Hotel especially the gentleman who checked me in ( cannot remember his name but it only has 3 or 4 letters in it). It's the nicest service iv received in a long long time and I hope the management recognize what brilliant people they have working for them. My next time in Limerick I know exactly where I'm staying!

My husband and I fancied a city break after a hectic Christmas and we were absolutely thrilled with our experience at the Savoy Hotel in Limerick. These are challenging times with a worldwide pandemic but even though the Savoy adheres to all government regulations, the staff and facilities make sure you feel like the pandemic is a minor inconvenience. Our room was spacious and quiet with sumptuous bed linen and a lovely bathroom. We ate in the Hampton restaurant where the food and service was exemplary. We had a nightcap in the hotel bar which had a wonderful, convivial atmosphere and superb service. Our breakfast really blew us away. It covered much more than the obligatory full Irish breakfast but had an extensive menu including choices of delicious Bircher muesli, fresh fruit and a wide selection of freshly squeezed juices and home baked pastries. Above all, the staff were outstanding: friendly with a nothing is too much trouble attitude and valet parking in Irish inclement weather! We will definitely be back.
