I really enjoyed my stay here – it’s in a lovely location, and we had two great rooms overlooking the stream that runs past the hotel. It is only a 10 minute drive into town, so it’s not too far out but it feels like you are deep in the countryside. I found the owner very charming and full of...

We were a group of six on a golf trip through Ireland. We chose the Waterside in part due to its convenience to the Seapoint and County Louth links but especially because of the on premises restaurant that was appealing after a day of driving and golf and more driving. Not only was the restaurant not open (in spite of...

I happened to notice whilst looking up food reviews etc that this place is pet friendly. So thinking a few months in advance of a short stay I drove to Termonfeckin for a drive. I stopped at a white building near a bridge and asked a local where is the Waterside inn? He said this is it. Where do I...

Thank you for your review, we are sorry to hear of your experience. At the time of your visit we were in the process of changing our signage. Small well trained pets are more than welcome to stay with us and we have a canine good will ambassador who would have been more than happy to settle any furry guest...

Brought my (elderly) mum and dad for a pint last week. While this is a lovely place the barman wouldn't bring the drinks to the table. Watched my elderly dad while he had to get me to collect his round, poor form. Pub wasn't busy either. Pity.

We arrived around 4.00pm, a reasonable sort of check in time. We tried all the doors which were firmly locked, tried the phone numbers,no answer and looked at the gated car park which had a number pad and one small button. No sign was attached to the pad. Eventually a small group of people came through the gate and we...

We stayed here for one night on easter Saturday. It was brilliant. Such a quaint querky hotel. No key cards here, they use real keys in the room. Breakfast is the only food served but it's cooked to order and really fresh. The staff were very friendly and chatty. The rooms were small but spotlessly clean. And the shower in...

The room we stayed in was beautiful, obviously redone recently, with a bright marbled bathroom. Bed had a fluffy goose down blanket and bright white linens. There was a small desk with coffee packets and tea, the little milk packets provided seemed to have gone off though. We overlooked the river and the heavy curtains and foliage give lots of...

Very nice place. We were there for two night September 21st to 23rd. The rooms were large and spotless. Crisp white sheets and comforter completed the rooms. The only downfall was on and off on wifi. They did try to fix it. The gated parking was appreciate. This one of our favorite places we stayed. The gentleman running the hotel...

This is a lovely hotel .Unfortunately the weather was awful when we visited., so we could not take advantage of the surroundings. The owners were welcoming and helpful, even though we arrived earlier than expected and in pouring rain. They are still recovering from a flood last October,. All furnishings are new and of a very high standard. The bed...
