Can't recommend this place enough. Gorgeous little hotel in Drogheda, it looks fantastic from the outside and the inside doesn't disappoint either. We had a few drinks in the wood panelled bar before heading into the restaurant. It was my mams birthday and the staff couldn't have been better. The attention to detail was superb and the food was excellent.... More

We stayed in a family room - 4 adults - and the rooms were a little small but the bathroom was nice. It was good value though so no complaints. Lovely gardens, bar and dining room. Breakfast was included and was very nice. Free parking and a good location close to the middle of town. Staff were very pleasant and... More

I can highly recommend the set menu. Great value and quality food. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. I was part of a large group and everyone enjoyed the evening. Very popular and busy. I would recommend making a reservation.

Absolutely gorgeous flowers and decor. Good food. A bit costly. We had the NY Burger and fish and chips. Burger was huge and good. Fish was nice white cod but I've had better from the fish n chips in Dundee. The furniture alone is worth a visit. Take a photo of someone sitting in one of the Royal Chairs.

Wife and I stopped in for a bite in the bar. The Guinness was creamy and delicious as expected, but it was the the chowder that blew me away. Still thinking about well after my trip. Not too heavy, very flavorful and full of different kinds of pieces of fish. Unforgettable. Atmosphere and service was also terrific. Bar was like... More

Our bedroom was a joke and totally unsuitable for two people. The room shown on the hotel website with the four poster bed was a complete misrepresentation of the majority of rooms that are available at the property. Yes, the room /en suite was clean ( except for the rusty soap tray in the shower)but the size of the room... More

Hotel is beautiful and we were welcomed with warmth. The build oozes character and its cosy and traditional decor in the bar restaurant and corridors is wonderful. The bedrooms I felt did not live up the rest of the hotel they would benefit from a bit of light bright soft furnishings. It was the only fault I found. Other than... More

Only stayed one night, but happily have stayed more (or come again someday). While having an afternoon beer (or two) in the bar area I took a wander to admire the dark wood interior, the owner shook my hand and took me on a tour. He was clearly proud of his hotel and rightly so. I enjoyed the place, I'll... More

This hotel was booked for me by a customer. I am glad they did it is a fantastically quirky hotel. Externally it is very well kept with a gorgeous display of flower features. The rooms are small due to the hotel once being a boys boarding school but the rooms are very nice. I stayed in a single which was... More

Lots of history, scrumptious food and good value all override the room size in this hotel. A great base to explore the antiquities of Ireland East, this small hotel's strengths more than make up for a few weaknesses.
