Stayed here last night while in Castlebar for a party. The hotel itself is nice, reception area was clean and bright. Our room was as expected, nothing amazing but certainly adequate. Biggest problem I had with this hotel was the smell of fried food throughout the whole hotel! It was in reception all the way to our room on the...

Just like the "curate's egg" has it's good and bad points. Free car park right beside the hotel, nice friendly check in. The food when you get it is good. The bed is comfortable. Do not assume when you are talking to any of the restaurant staff that they understand you. Dinner and breakfast were both ruined by misunderstandings, I...

We arrived at the hotel on Friday evening after a long day at a Bio Energy course in Claremorris. The hotel receptionist was lovely and we were swiftly directed to our room, 310 on the 3rd floor. The room was lovely with all the usual mod cons, tea making facilities, hairdryer, bathroom supplies. We ate in the lounge area, from...

Stayed here recently whilst holidaying in the area. Our greeting by Lisa on reception when we arrived was top notch and she could not do enough for us during our stay, a real asset to this hotel. We found the décor of the hotel not to our liking as it was very clinical white sofas, purple accents and then the...

Stayed with a couple of friends in March. The rooms were fine but our room wasn't cleaned the first day and only I asked at reception the second day it wouldn't have been done either. rte1 didn't work on the tv. The lights are all interconnected and it was hard to get the reading light on without putting on all...

The hotel is well located. Just about 100 metres from a shopping center a a little further from the center of town where there are numerous bars and restaurants. Hotel is really bright and clean and the staff were mostly friendly. There was some road noise during the night in our room but didn't bother us. This was our second...

The Harlequin Hotel prides itself quite rightly on the fact that its the only four star hotel in Castlebar - that's the grading it has and one to be proud of . I'm not quite sure how the grading system works in Ireland however as during the course of my perpetual travels in the Irish Republic I've stayed in a...

I would like to thank Lisa and all the team at the Harkequin Hotel for their professionalism, excellent service and hospitality. Our family have been staying there since it opened and have never had a bad experience. Was there in February with family and we all had a most enjoyable experience. Food in the Hotel was excellent and suited all...

Stayed here over a weekend free carpark always a bonus. Reception bar and dining room all combined not by favourite kind of area as there is not enough seating for everyone and I think the bar staff could so with some training on measures of sprints yes they used a measure but am certain the correct use of it was...
