Patrick was the perfect barman and we really really regretted staying the night at the b&b next door. Bar nibbles were great and breakfast was great too. Had great laughs and definitely would go back if we ever get the chance

Quite simply...terrible. How, given the wonderful places in Westport, did we get unlucky enough to go into Dunnings? Reheated food of the poorest quality. Don't be fooled by the 'home cooking' look of the specials board. It really is awful. Poor quality and corners cut in every area. I love Ireland and specifically Westport... I'm horrified to think that visitors... More

The owner needs a hug and a laugh. If you're going in please cheer him up because he's misery guts personified. The bar: When welcoming new customers you maintain a pleasant, can-do approach. My partner and I came in. To their credit the food did look good and the venue did seem accommodating as far as the functionality of the... More

Dunnings provided exactly what we needed. We were having a stag, and the booking was organised for us through stag.it. It's a small simple pub/b&b run by lovely people. The 20 of us were split up between a number of different rooms, with 5 of us in my room. Rooms are fairly basic, we had an ensuite but I'm not... More

I stayed here recently as with a group of 10 other hens and i could honestly say i will never recommend this place to anyone! We were met by the owner who i can only describe as hostile and rude. There is a distinct lack of basic customer service here. Without even a welcome or a simple hello the owner... More

I generally wouldn't give out but only for fantastic friends and better atmosphere in other pubs and restaurants this could have ruined an otherwise perfect weekend. Came here for my hen and had a list of rules handed out before even a simple hello- not a problem generally but the landlord has no people skills, went to our rooms and... More

Stayed here with 10 other friends for one night on a hen. When we arrived, the man that appeared to be the owner, told us off without even saying hello. He assumed we were going to be trouble before we even opened our mouths (we weren't as we were too tired from the night before and it was a 3... More

arrived in the hope of getting some bar food, when we asked if he was still serving he grumped yes at us before walking away and did not come back with menus or anything. We looked around and when one gentleman went to the bar to order he was told to sit down 😂 Looking around it appeared there was... More

Busy and unfriendly centre of town pub with very basic accommodation. VERY noisy. Probably fine if you're a large group out on the lash, but terrible for anyone else. More like a rough youth hostel than a b&b despite all the traditional pictures on their website. In fact I've had better nights sleep hosteling in a 10 bed dorm in... More

We went for dinner there. Even for pub grub it was of the worst quality. The food was brought in at different times. One of the side dishes was never brought to us. We requested salad without cucumber and, instead of telling us that it wasn't possible due to the fact that the salad was pre-made, the just brought it... More
