We stayed here during our tour of Ireland in July. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and had a beautiful home. We shared a large room with two double beds and slept liked babies. The bathroom was a bit on the small size, but very manageable for us. It may be a difficult space to maneuver for some. Breakfast was...

Very nice location and nice sheltered site. Best wifi on a campsite that I've had in Ireland so far. Nice walks in grounds of Westport House and cycle ride on greenway to Newport and on to Achill Island if you wish. Staff friendly.showers o.k. No hairdryers.

Well, first things first, I would say that the rating for this place is GOOD rather than AVERAGE, but TripAdvisor don't have that option! Strangely enough, when I was booking our trip to Ireland, I decided to go down the B&B route as opposed to hotels and used the B&B Ireland website, which is very good. What I didn't do...

Our welcome was really friendly! The room was comfortable, spacious and absolutely spotless, with views of Croagh Patrick. Breakfast was delicious each morning. As we stayed for three nights, we got a good sample of the extensive menu, which didn't disappoint. The hosts were really lovely and interested in helping us get the most out of our time in Westport....

Host was friendly and was kind enough to get up at 3:30 am to cook us breakfast as we had a race with a very early start. This is far beyond what we would expect from any B&B. We were also given coffee money for our trip home, again so thoughtful. Rooms were clean and beds incredibly comfortable. The views...

Stayed 1 night for a wedding in westport. Friendly and welcoming. Lovely room and breakfast. Lovely views despite the weather. Will return to explore this beautiful area of mayo. Don't understand the negative reviews as everyone was attentive and couldn't do enough to make the stay as great as possible. Thank you

We checked in (I have a mobility impairment which I mentioned on booking by telephone) after a drive through torrential rain for 2 hours, looking for any kind of a warm welcome. How hard is 'hello, you're welcome'? No chance! The owner opened the door and stood back and watched us battle in with our luggage. We were left standing...

We had a nice welcome from a very helpful host and were shown to a beautiful room overlooking stunning countryside. He recommended plenty of places to eat and to listen to music in Westport and gave us a useful map. The décor was very tasteful, so much so that we researched where the duvet set came from and have since...

We stayed in this b&b only one night. It was NOT a very welcome visit. The owners want you to live by there rules. While we were having breakfast in the morning, Fances cleaned our room for the new guests- without telling us. We had all our stuff still laying on the bed.... This is not appriate! And also not...

“Don't be fooled by the nice pictures on the website, the owners don't like people messing up their b&b. Maybe pay them and don't turn up. That's probably how they'd like it.”

“This place gave excellent value for the money. Worrying about the room kinda goes against the reason one would go to Ireland and Ballyvaughn. Get up in the morning, go outside and breathe in the air with the most oxygen in the country. It'll give you a better life than a bed. You're 50 ft. from the ocean. Look right, then left. Suck it up. It's all glorious.”
