Stayed one night in October as I was giving a talk at a dinner. Staff could not have been friendlier. That matched with a lovely hotel made it all very pleasant. The room was well appointed and in good condition. Only grumble was slightly hard pillows. If you face the front of the hotel you will have to contend with...

Used the bar only for a meal on the way back home from Dublin. I had fond memories of the hotel from my childhood when it was called the Oriel. Stayed there with me parents not long before my father died. Anyway my son and I had been in Dublin for a karate tournament and thought we would stop off...

Had dinner here Friday 23rd September on route to Dublin. We ordered mains only and I had the sea bass on a bed of mash with vegetables of the day it was so delicious and pipping hot. My husband had the chicken dish again on a bed of mash with garlic potatoes. It too was gorgeous. The girl who served...

We stayed here for one night, when we mentioned that it was our anniversary, the lovely Katrina on reception upgraded us to a suite complete with four poster bed. The food in the bar was fantastic, and though the place was busy service was prompt. The staff were excellent we would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are pleasant, quite basic but clean and comfortable. The view from the front is beautiful - overlooking the impressive Diamond and the Rossmore Monument and if you are lucky you will get the Cathedral in your sights too. The food is mid price range for example chicken curry €17....but with that you have a beautifully presented dish with a...

I recently went to the Westenra for food with a friend & couldn't fault it! I got the sticky chicken tenders with a side of sweet potato fries followed by a slice of apple pie & I can honestly say it was delicious! My friend got the Caesar Salad & she thoroughly enjoyed it, followed by the Baked Alaska which...

The food was lovely but the night was made more memorable because from the moment we entered the establishment until the time we left (very late) we were treated like special friends. We will be back here for another night the craic was mighty.
