Tucked into the hill at the back of Pennaenmawr is Caerlyr Hall, steeped in history, stunning views of the Great Orme, comfortable rooms, a lounge fit for a film set, great hosts, Peter and Dorothy, delicious breakfasts, all make this a hotel I always look forward to going to, often twice a year.

The overriding reason why we booked in with Peter and Dorothy was that their hotel seemed to be the sort of place where we would be able to get a much needed rest from the hurries and harries of today's fast paced life. It did not disappoint! On check-in one's name is carefully written down and recorded into a paper...

Visited here with my son as part of his birthday week. Very nice place set high up overlooking the bay. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing retreat. Breakfast was lovely. Looking forward to going back at the end of October.

What a wonderful place! Peter was a most gracious host; a pity we did not have a chance to meet Dorothy. We really enjoyed our stay, especially the wonderful room we had, with an enclosed balcony overlooking into the golf course and sea, and the wonderful breakfast and dinner. A downside is probably the lack of wifi or even a...

This little gem set high on a hillside overlooking a wide bay and a pretty golf course is quite exceptional as a b&b where the dinners are are tasty and very well cooked. The owner Peter and his wife Dorothy (a talented artist) have provided this accommodation for 17 years it is unpretentious but very comfortable with large en suite...

We booked this based on previous reviews and we weren't disappointed. Lovely traditional hotel, fabulous views, freshly cooked breakfast, couldn't fault anything. I had two fifteen year olds with me and they loved it despite the lack of wifi!

We came across this hotel unexpectedly on Saturday. We had been visitors to the area for years but didn't know about the hotel. Had a very comfortable stay with a lovely breakfast in this hotel that has lots of character. Peter was a super host, we hope to visiit again soon. Fantastic views of the coast.

This is a hotel that exudes the 1950s style, it's like stepping into a time warp in the best possible way. The hospitality, the ambiance, the service is second to none. The Peter the owner couldn't have been more welcoming, the food was superb, this is a beautiful country house hotel, where one feels privileged to stay! The only downside...
