Me and my partner stayed in the double room at Sophie's in a weekend getaway. First impressions were just wow! The Velux windows that open right out, out of the roof, are amazing! They allow you to get out and admire the fantastic views that are on offer across the Yorkshire Dales. It was almost a shame that we weren't... More

My friends and I stayed at Sophie's B&B whilst working at the Bridal Show in Harrogate. We usually stay in Harrogate but we will be staying with Sophie next time! The rooms are relaxing, the breakfast is tasty and Sophie brought us a glass of wine in bed to help us unwind. Would really recommend this B&B if you're staying... More

We stayed here as we were at Ripley castle attending a show. We had the double room in the loft space with beautiful views of the rolling country side out of the big roof Windows. If I'm picky the plug sockets are not in the best place & having to go downstairs in the pitch dark is not the easiest... More

Sophie's is a lovely coffee shop in a lovely Yorkshire village only around four miles from Harrogate. It also has two nice rooms, let on a B&B basis. Sophie herself is a wonderful host who delights in welcoming her guests to her developing business. Whilst she allowed us to use the cafe seating in the morning before breakfast, the operation... It was adequate for one night. Not much of a welcome. No sign of Sophie. Brief glimpse of her husband. Had to ask for towels. No advice on how to walk to Ripley. Reported that the toilet flush handle was loose as we left but it seems that is a recurring problem

We are regular customers of the coffee shop and have never been disappointed. Super food and great value for money. Sophie's also does Sunday lunches and Bistro evenings. The menu is extensive with everything from a bacon sandwich to full meals and the cakes/scones/bakes are made on the premises. There is always a great smell emanating from the kitchen. Great... Book here and you will not be disappointed. Rooms are tastefully decorated, very well presented and wonderfully clean. Sophie was welcoming, a great host and an excellent cook. The breakfast really set us up for a day at the races and her date and walnut scones fresh from the oven were a little taste of heaven. We would recommend Sophie's... More

Great stay in an excellent guest house. Double room is on the top floor and there are opening Velux windows to take advantage of the country views to the rear, great design! we arrived later than planned but arrangements were made for access and excellent recommendation for evening meal in adjacent village.
