I have just spent the weekend in Gloucester with my two best friends and cannot warn people enough to stay away from this hotel. It is totally overpriced. The rooms were shabby, beds full of springs, carpets stained with carpet burns. My room was like a sauna and there was only the option of heat or no heat. The room...

Absolutely awful Hotel. The room was blatantly a single with a double bed. The heating was off (on a freezing cold night in November) and we had to call a maintenance man to turn it on (with a spanner). This left the heating completely uncontrollable and by 2am the room was so hot we were unable to sleep. There was...

The kitchen was being refurbished while we were there so there wasn't any food. Rooms had been booked and a deposit paid before they told us there was no food available...10 of us were working in the area so we wanted to stay in one place together, there were no other places available with 10 free bedrooms...no wonder... Apart from...

I had booked this room through Roomsbooked (Booking.com) which is the link given on the City of Gloucester website. I will never use Roomsbooked again. They refused to give me a refund for my two night stay (I checked out 3 hours after checking in, the room was so bad). The headboard was on another wall from the bed as...

Prob the worst room i have stayed in. Room 4 ..... at the front of "hotel" really noisy all night , then lorry deliveries started at 5am...... this room was obviously a single at one time as there is a single headboard floating half way up the wall with a lamp next to it. A double bed with sticking out...

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean, However, the room was very 'tired' and the bed was really uncomfortable leaving me with back ache. It was also very noisy. You expect some street noise being in the town centre but not from the next room! The walls are paper thin and we could hear every...

This hotel would usually charge £29 a night for a room, but due to the Cheltenham festival, it had raised its prices to £127 per night!!! Staff were nice but scarce, and we waited for what seemed an eternity, for someone to come to the reception, but even then, only to put our bags in a cloak room without checking us...

I knew the hotel was undergoing refurbishment and that the kitchen was closed. The staff were very obliging and friendly. For the price, the room was clean and functional except for the noise of a nearby generator on a couple of nights. The £5 deal on the long term car park was appreciated as parking in the city is a...
