We booked this hotel for a birthday treat just for one night but wished we could have stayed longer - it was idyllic from beginning to end. We took aperitifs on the terrace looking out over the beautiful garden with just the sound of bird song in the background, followed by a delicious meal which could not be faulted (great...

I'm actually writing this with mixed feelings as I don't want everyone to go there and I won't get in again!!!We booked here pretty much last minute for a weekend with our dog. With or without the dog, this place is, without any hesitation, fantastic. However, we did take our dog so I will include provision for her in my...

The pear tree at Purton is a refined addition to places to stay in North Wiltshire. The hotel itself is set in a large country house/farmhouse with modern extensions. The staff are polite and ensure a warm welcome. Rooms are moderately sized and those with external views across the grounds are particularly nice. The restaurant (also open to non residents)...

We'd just driven nearly 3 hours from Kent and were already running late for a party! What a lovely surprise we got on...

This is the perfect venue for a quiet, relaxed wedding reception. Prior to our big day we had several, planning meetings with the hotel manager, Alix who was extremely, knowledgeable and helpful. The day itself was fabulous. After the actual service we arrived at the hotel where everything was ready for us. Prior to our celebratory lunch we were all...
