Reasonably priced for good and drink although fuel is very expensive being around 20p a litre more than supermarket fuel. Great motorway service station with lots of different food shops such as subway Costa burger king

NOT where the map shows! Both this site and Expedia show the location as on Bolton Rd. It is between 5 & 6 on the M61 Southbound. Late night check in is inconveniently through the Spar shop. Otherwise standard lodge.

Is it 5 Star accommodate? No Bad points 1. Tea bags loose. Anything could have happened to them. 2. Bedding tired and old. 3. Check in. I will review that separately 4. TV remote didn't work 5. Smallest TV in the universe. I don't have a ruler but I estimate it is no bigger than 15' Which seeing as I'm...

I stayed at the Rivington Lodge which was a last minute booking. I looked up the location which comes up on Google and Trip Advisor as Dryfield Lane close to Lower Rivington Resevoir which sounds ideal, unfortunately this is not where it is. Rivington Lodge is at the motorway services on the M61. There are no staff at the hotel,...

We stopped off on spec and got a very nice room which was clean and tidy if a little shabby. You get what you pay for and we only paid £39 for a family room which had everything we could have wished for. The check in was odd (at the SPAR counter next door) but efficient enough and I would...

Cheap hotel on Rivington Service station which as you can imagine can be noisy from the traffic throughout the night. Room was clean enough but shower and bath could do with updating. You have to check in at the Spar checkout which was a bit strange especially when they can`t find your booking. Ok for a cheap work stopover.

Had to change rooms as the first room we were given hadn't been made up. This was a pain as we had to check in at the Spar next door and I had to drag all my stuff back to change rooms. The 2nd room was strange as it was designed for disabled people but it was upstairs and there's...

Quite cheap hotel. Ok for one night stop over, on M61 motorway. Rooms are in need of decoration, minor repairs and a good clean. It doesn't look like it's been decorated since it was taken over from Travelodge some years ago. Some dirt marks on pillow, but there were spares in wardrobe. Very small tv.

I have stayed in some real cheap hotels, where the rooms were reasonably kept, the staff were friendly and helpful. At the Rivington Lodge (EUROGARAGES) none of that applies, the cleaner doesn't come in your room until you have left, she doesn't change towels EVER or remove your rubbish. I was moved from room 17 to room 6 on the...
