The room was small with a double bed shoehorned into it. The TV was balanced unsecured on the bedside table. The room was in dire need of some TLC. It was reminiscent of cheap student accommodation from 20 or 30 years ago. The bathroom mirror light did not work. The show has seen better days with a soap dish that...

One-night stay prior to early flight from Birmingham Airport. Staff/ owners very friendly and helpful but hotel run-down and tatty. Rooms small and in need of a refurb. Light shades damaged, old bed-linen, damaged TV.

This is definitely cheap for a reason. It is run down beyond belief, smells of curry and is so hot that it is unbearable. There is no elevator and you have to walk up a creaky, falling apart staircase (do NOT lean on the bannister, trust me). The family who owns it fight and speak loudly in the 'restaurant' at...

Handy location for BHX & NEC and the staff were very friendly. The place is very run down, lamp in the room did not work, neither did the shaving light in the bathroom. My room was too far from the wifi box to work as well.

We booked this b&b due to it being close to the nec and more within our price range than the likes of the hilton or ibis. Upon arriving we noted that the room felt quite damp. We shrugged it off and carried on settling in and then noticed a slug making its merry way across the carpet which i quickly...

Staff were very helpful, however the place could do with a good clean and makeover. Breakfast was generous however done on a very small budget, that was obvious. Through no fault of the owner the hotel is very close to airport.

After reading the awful reviews we were dreading checking in but it really wasn't that bad. Yes it's basic & could do with a refurb but it was clean, had a hot shower, tea & coffee tray, free wifi, the staff were really friendly & couldn't do enough for you & most importantly cheap. There was a continental breakfast included...

Found this on Booking.com and was surprised by how tatty and basic it was for £90. The bathroom was dirty, apart from the actual bath, loo and basin - dust and mould on grouting etc. Could hear every noise from inside and out and with only a vertical blind at the window we were awake at dawn. Breakfast was quite...

On the up side the staff were courteous and breakfast was, well, okay. The shower was good with plenty of hot water and the beds comfortable with clean, fresh bedding and the Wi-Fi just about worked. There had clearly been some mix-up. We were put into a room at the back of the hotel which looked like it was only...
