Good Food but very small portions of roast beef and very slow service. Poor vegetables and an over supply of potatoes. Wine service was extremely slow. The setting of the property is excellent and there is ample parking.

I am used to stay at Relais & Chateaux properties and although the building and grounds are beautiful, the room wasn't exceptional at all. Room service unavailable. No one was there when I checked out even though I had mentioned I was leaving early in the morning and asked if someone will be there. The room was extremely noisy as next to the road and no air con in the room so had to open the window. The price for the room isn't worth it. Quite disappointed with my stay unfortunately. The staff was lovely though.

Stayed here recently, to attend a wedding. Super friendly and professional staff. Fabulous location. If I was pressed to find fault, the room in the annex (for weddings) was on the small side and rather warm. And the drinks aren't cheap - but this isn't Wetherspoons!

We stayed here recently, very disappointed for the money, very dated, food and drink prices are absolutely ridiculous, why charge way over top prices ? The drinks were extortionate, glass of house wine £10.50 gin and tonic £10.50. The manager was very rude and aggressive in her behaviour, totally uncalled for and very unprofessional. Our opinion, stay clear, there are plenty of other beautiful, modern hotels local to stay, a lot cheaper and a lot more friendlier. Maybe a manager refresher course would take go a miss !!!

I booked this as a special occasion away. I had some hesitation after reading some rooms were outdated. I chose a room in the original house. It was a little old fashioned and some areas needed a lick of paint, but it was clean comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the pool and spa as well as walk around the gardens. It was lob lit sitting downstairs for our pre-meal drink before going into the dining room for a very tasty selection of courses. The only feedback on the dining room was the level of lighting, it was too dark and we struggled to see our meal. Staff were wonderful and so was breakfast. The sausages were amazing and we wished it came with two! The staff weee
