Good: Brilliant service, free parking, fantastic breakfast, comfy beds. Bad: Small rooms...and that's it I don't understand why anyone would want to stay in a big corporate hotel on the outskirts of town when this place is such good value for money. I would absolutely stay here again.

Just spent two nights at the Wagon and Horses and was not disappointed. The accommodation is comfortable and spotlessly clean, a warm friendly welcome and great food made my stay all the better. The wagon and Horses is in a great position and close to both the railway station, bus station and town centre and if course The Castle! Cannot...

When I told my wife we were staying in a pub, here immediate reaction was " We're staying where!?" However the superb Wagon & Horses allayed all her fears. Bedroom was more than hotel standard, with a shower that puts our power shower at home to shame. A Wagon & Horses breakfast sets you up for the whole day. Everything...

We've just returned from a one night stay at The Wagon & Horses. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by the friendly staff. We had a drink in the small but lovely beer garden at the back before being shown to our room. The rooms are fairly small but ample enough and everything was...

We stayed here on a Friday and Saturday and we were very impressed by the friendly staff. The room was nicely fitted out and made good use of the small space. There are 6 rooms in all and we had a double overlooking the river Lune. The breakfast was great, and every effort was made to please. The pub was...

Came here for lunch and was our first visit to this beautiful pub. Walked in to a warm friendly welcome. A very modern, clean fresh pub and owned by Robinson's a shock to us both as it feels like a privately owned pub. The owners take great pride in the pub and that show's which is fabulous. The menu is...

Been here for drinks many times and recently went to eat. I have to say in regard to previous comments I've always found the landlord and landlady to be very friendly and welcoming. Visited on a Monday night around 8:30, without booking, but this was no problem. Food was great, service excellent with minimum waiting times. Would definitely return.

We have visited this pub 2 years running now at Easter. Our latest experience was for a friends birthday. This is a lovely pub with very nice rooms. The rooms aren't large but are very clean and well equipped. We stayed 2 nights and eat in the bar on both evenings. Both occasions the food was lovely and the service...

Stayed here before starting the second half of Dales Way. The staff were excellent, very helpful, offered to make us sandwiches and arrange early breakfast when they knew we were walking. The room was lovely but could do with a new mattress. We stayed in the bar far later than planned due to good atmosphere with live music. Would certainly...
