Hired this hotel for 18th birthday party and right from the start, the staff were very helpful. They assisted with all the decorations for room and nothing was too much trouble. Alot of hotels could learn from this establishment for customer relations. Didnt stay overnight but would consider using it again for a party/celebration at a drop of a hat....

On arrival we were greeted politely and given directions to our room. The place does need a little updating but I hope that it doesn't lose it's charm when that does happen. Our room was comfortable, warm and clean. The bed was comfy too. If you like 5* luxury, book elsewhere. If you like a more homely feel then this...

Single room, dated and had a feel like I was staying in my granny's spare room, complete with 1960's furniture. Shabby it was, chic it wasn't! Lighting was dim and the room was quite cold. In fact I wore socks in bed, which is a rarity indeed. Breakfast was disappointing. Apple juice was no frills and the bananas were very...

I don't mind old hotels however if you can see a layer of dust building up on the curtains, it is worrying. £65 for a double room mid-week (without breakfast!!) is not a good price for the standard provided. Some shampoo should also be provided. If it was not for the price, I would give it 3 starts. The reception...

I booked three singles, one with a bath and two with shower as well as a double en suite for one night. At the time I asked the receptionist to ensure that I was designated the room with a bath on arrival. I was surprised therefore to be given a room with a shower and went down to reception to...

Me and my new husband booked the station hotel for our wedding reception. From the start Jason and the other staff were amazing. We was allowed to decorate the room as we wished but also offered to help us with decor and accessories if we needed them to. I asked If I could come in and set up the room...

Me and my mom stayed as she loves the paranormal and wanted to see the "haunted" rooms. Nothing happened. But the room itself is very basic but somehow still cosy. Very warm and the beds were very comfy. The hotel itself is also very basic but the history and original features makes it very interesting and it's quite nice! However,...
