It was advertised double bed but it was nowhere near the size. It was a three quarter bed. Ok for one night but wouldn't stay any longer. Felt a little uneasy at night time as a lot of homeless people hang around outside hotel, hence hotel had all night security staff stopping homeless trying to get in (which we witnessed).... More

Stopped overnight at this hotel on a recent visit to Manchester. On arrival you can see that back in the say this would have been quite a grand hotel, although now the decor looks a little tired. We waited about 15 minutes to check in at about 3pm. I got very confused as I was asked if I wanted a... More

I stayed in this hotel for one night. Initially I was allocated a tiny room at the very top of the hotel (on the 6th floor although the lift only goes up to the 5th floor). When I entered the room I realised the bed hadn't been changed/made up and there were dirty coffee cups in the room. I went... More

Bad: Check-in queue over 15 minutes at 3.15 in the afternoon on a Tuesday. Tiny 'Turret Room' on 6th floor. Lift goes to 5, then its stairs and endless corridors. Threadbare carpet on stairs, fire alarm hanging from the corridor wall on wires. Window in room at floor level opened wide, no safety catch (6th floor!). OK: Narrow bed was... More

In Manchester to see a show and stayed in the above as it was cheap. We booked the 'Executive Suite' for a total of £50 for one night, (usually costing £189 for the night) which included an evening meal, a bottle of wine and breakfast in the morning, all an added bonus. However, the room itself had seen better days.... More

My fiancee and I had tickets to see The Cure on 29/11/16 and found a really good deal on Groupon for this hotel. Had a look at the reviews on here after booking this deal, and was starting to worry. But our experience wasn't anywhere near as bad as others seem to have had! For a place to sleep after... More

I was booked into this hotel for 3 nights as it was one of the hotels linked to a conference I was attending. The cost was £95 per night in advance for a single room. It is the worst hotel I have ever been to and I could not bring myself to stay - I'm just lucky that I have... More

Arrived about 15 minutes later and told hotel was overbooked and they had told Booking.com over 2 hours before. Reception staff very helpful and offered to phone a nearby hotel for us. Assured me that.my daughter... More

Wish I had used trip advisor before booking! Im a regular business traveller and this is the worst hotel I have stayed in the UK. Check in: only one person on check-in despite being told the hotel was fully booked, waited 20 minutes after 8pm & was told they were short staffed and the other receptionist was on a break... More
