We have found our new hotel for when we visit Manchester. Only fault is it doesn't have its own car park and a little awkward getting luggage out of the car. Room was great and excellent touches like fruit bowl, filter coffee in the room and fresh milk in the fridge. Well worth it. Breakfast was quality too.

We went to the Principal on Saturday 22nd April, fantastic reception area, quick check-in. We had a suite which was large and had everything needed. Very historic building and good bar areas. We were greeted in the room with Champagne, chocolates and fruit which was really nice (pictures attached). Breakfast fantastic, really nice stay, will definitely return.

I attended a private party for the property industry here with a colleague during this past week. There is no doubt this is a visually imposing place and the ballroom where we had dinner is magnificient. The food however, was a complete let down. We had duck pate to start, and it's temperature suggested it had just come out of...

first of all, this hotel is exquisite. before visiting i wasnt expecting such good value because of the price we paid (£95 for the night). i was expecting it to look the part but not really do much once we were there. but i was so wrong!! the decor is gorgeous and grand, pulled off the theme to match the...

The hotel is very impressive indeed. Wonderful reception, quality original decor and friendly staff. the bar and lounge restaurant areas are great too. very high quality and a brilliant atmosphere. The room was amazing tall ceilings tiled and clean and comfortable. The only thing against the hotel is the position next to the train track. Our room looked directly over...

My husband and I had a great stay at the hotel and a lovely room, we found the only thing that let the hotel down was the breakfast, we had cold food and although the plates were warm to start they soon went cold.

Very taken with this hotel. Staff are very very friendly and professional and the building is amazing. Great location and a great base for exploring the city. Very special place with lots of history and we enjoyed exploring (it is enormous). Will definitely return.

Good hotel, good facilities. However, rather a long walk to the room with my limited mobility. Breakfast was an issue for me. Toast took over 20 mins to come - why not let guests make their own toast? They are more than capable of using a toaster, plus it will save a lot of time! Also bacon was smoked, when...

The Principal Manchester hotel is situated in the heart of Manchester city centre and is very easy to access to town and the oxford road train station. A very kind gentleman...

We were upgraded - at no extra cost (Thank you!). The room was beautiful, and all the little touches (Tuck Box etc) were delightful. Can't wait to visit again! Restaurant staff at breakfast all had lovely smiles on their faces, and the food was excellent.
